Chapter 3946: The Dual Dimensional Vacuum Compression Art

If someone saw Lin Mu right now the first thought might have been confusion. The second might have been embarrassment. The third could easily have been wondering why a completely naked man was calmly walking through an incredibly dangerous spatial passage as though he were taking a stroll.

Fortunately, there was no one around and Lin Mu himself paid no attention to his lack of clothing.

His body had already been tempered countless times. His physique was extremely muscular, with every muscle carrying tremendous strength. Even in the appearance of Little Bull, his body looked almost carved from stone, as if the result of years of cultivation, battles, and repeated refinement under extreme conditions.

The spatial pressure continued pressing down but Lin Mu kept moving from one layer to another. And the deeper he went, the more astonishing the structure became as he could feel the spatial pockets surrounding him.

’So there’s varying levels of compression in these too. Are they made to complement the changes in spatial turbulence and then use it as a counteracting force?’ Lin Mu began to ponder.

Some were thin while others were extremely dense. Several seemed to overlap in ways that should have been impossible. Lin Mu gradually realized that the creator had used compression itself as a stabilizing mechanism.

Each spatial pocket was not simply storing space but rather acting as part of a larger structure. The entire thing was like an enormous lattice such that even if one destroyed one portion, the rest could compensate.

And if one shifted another portion, the surrounding layers would redistribute the pressure. It was an extremely advanced method which only made Lin Mu’s admiration grow.

"This person really did understand Spatial Dao." Lin Mu praised the unknown creator.

He continued moving and the spatial pressure eventually reached its peak. For a moment, even Lin Mu felt a slight resistance as his feet stopped and his body was surrounded by an invisible force that seemed to compress him from every direction.

HUUUU!

But then Lin Mu took a deep breath and he pushed forward.

Boom!

The spatial layer trembled and Lin Mu’s body passed through as if something had just turned a solid glass wall rubbery before it ripped apart. The pressure suddenly vanished and he stumbled forward by half a step before stabilizing himself.

Lin Mu opened his eyes and everything was silent as there was simply no air here. But he did not concern himself with that for now, as the sight before him left him momentarily speechless.

A vast white space stretched in every direction. There were no walls, a roof, pillars, doors or even a floor.

"It’s all white." Lin Mu almost felt nostalgic and felt like he had entered an endless dream, just like before. "Almost like the Astral Dimension." Yet his Spatial Perception immediately confirmed that it was real.

This was a genuine independent space.

Lin Mu slowly looked around and saw that there was almost nothing here other than a few objects that sat several meters away... or at least it felt like that as the space couldn’t exactly be measured right now.

’An old set of robes, a book and a jade token?’ Lin Mu noted the objects before his expression became strange. "That’s it?"

He walked toward the objects and saw that the robes were extremely old and very strange. Old enough that their material had suffered through the passage of countless years, yet strange enough that they remained remarkably intact.

Lin Mu crouched down and examined them.

He could immediately tell that they were extraordinary. They carried faint spatial fluctuations and an extremely subtle aura.

’This is not something you can get easily even in the Heavenly Stream Guardian Sect.’ Lin Mu thought to himself.

The robes seemed ordinary at first glance, yet their fibers possessed a natural resilience that could only come from extremely high grade materials. Lin Mu carefully picked them up and checked them over before setting them aside.

Then he turned toward the book.

It was an ancient tome or diary of sorts. Its cover was dark and slightly worn but there were no visible words on the front. Lin Mu’s gaze lingered on it as the book was preserved extremely well despite its age.

’Might be very valuable.’ Lin Mu thought, as it could contain anything like techniques, historical information, cultivation insights, or clues about the person who had constructed this place.

Lin Mu reached toward it but then he stopped as his gaze shifted toward the jade token. The token was small and simple as there were no elaborate decorations. Only a strange symbol had been carved into its surface.

Lin Mu’s eyes narrowed as he recognized part of it. The same general style as the crest he had been following.

"The symbol of the Virtuous Calamity Daoist?!" Lin Mu’s heartbeat increased as he knew there was no way this was coincidental.

Lin Mu reached toward the book wondering what it might contain but before his fingers could touch it, Xukong’s voice suddenly rang through his mind.

"This place..."

Lin Mu stopped as Xukong’s voice contained something he rarely heard from him: Surprise.

"The Dual Dimensional Vacuum Compression Art?"

Lin Mu’s eyes widened.

"The Dual Dimensional Vacuum Compression Art?" He repeated the name.

Xukong remained silent for several breaths, then his voice became serious.

"Lin Mu, do not touch anything yet."

Lin Mu’s expression changed and he immediately withdrew his hand.

"You recognize this?"

"Recognize it?" Xukong let out a low breath. "I have heard of it."

Lin Mu stared at the empty white space. "What exactly is it?"

Xukong did not answer immediately.

The silence itself made Lin Mu increasingly curious.

Finally, Xukong spoke.

"The Dual Dimensional Vacuum Compression Art is an extremely rare spatial technique. Its purpose is not simply to create storage space. It compresses multiple dimensional layers into a single sealing structure."

Lin Mu looked toward the passage he had just crossed.

"So that is what I entered."

"Yes." Xukong’s voice became heavier. "And if I am correct, what you are seeing might just be a portion of it."

Lin Mu’s eyes narrowed and he looked around the seemingly empty white space again. Suddenly, the emptiness felt completely different.
