Werewolf Leveling: Building the Strongest Pack in the Apocalypse

Chapter 312 312: First and Last Order

Chapter 312 312: First and Last Order

At first, the elf king was wary of my presence, especially since I was with Khalissi, but over time he grew tolerant toward me. Outside the elf village, there was nothing but death. The wyverns all died as a result of Lilith's bloodlust. No living creature could withstand her force, and even the trees withered.

Two days passed, and finally Therissa had woken up. The damage done to her was extensive, but she was healed enough to walk and communicate.

I hadn't spoken with her since she had woken up. She sent for me a few times, but I refused; but after a while, I had decided to go see her.

The reason was that I had my ravens scour the land outside, and it was almost time. The military was heading right for us, and so was my pack. I wanted to leave before they got here and also set things up.

Arriving at the room Therissa was staying in, I knocked on the door. She was gazing through the window, but the moment she heard the knock, her eyes turned to me, and a smile formed.

"Liam."

I smiled at her.

"You seem much better than when we brought you here."

She nodded.

"Yes, I was told what happened, how we were attacked by the wyvern king. I'm sorry; I can't remember anything."

I walked over to her and sat beside her on the bed.

"I'm sorry I didn't come earlier. I heard from the elves just how bad your injuries were."

Her eyes suddenly turned remorseful; then a look of conviction crossed her face as she looked at me.

"They said the damage is severe and that my brain injury could possibly affect my mental health or even my ability to talk."

Her small hands reached out and grabbed mine.

"You told me once that you had the ability to turn people into werewolves and heal them. You offered to do the same to me once, but I refused. Please, will it work if I allowed you to turn me now?"

Therissa's expression was one of pure desperation. With this injury, she couldn't fight alongside or protect her people.

I grabbed her hand and gave her a reassuring smile.

"If that's what you want, then I'm willing to do it."

Therissa smiled happily.

"Thank you."

She quickly swept her white hair behind her ear, revealing her neck, a pink blush creeping up on her face.

"Is it alright like this?"

I nodded as I slowly lowered myself toward her, her heartbeat racing by the second. She squinted and closed her eyes, and at that moment, I sunk my fangs into her neck and pumped my venom into her system.

Her eyes opened wide, revealing orange irises. For a moment, she didn't say a word as she flexed her arm, taking in the changes to her new body.

"My body... it feels different. I'm healing…"

Her mouth opened in amazement. She then slowly moved her feet and stepped off the bed. I held her hand to steady her, then I let go after a while since she didn't need any more help.

Her body, which previously seemed too weak to stand or even walk, could now move around freely. Seeing this, she let out a small giggle before wrapping her arms around my neck.

"Thank you."

I returned her embrace before pulling away. It was time. I stared deep into her beautiful amethyst eyes before issuing my first command as her alpha.

"Keep quiet and follow my orders. There are soldiers coming here, along with some members of my pack. Your first task: I want you to kill your brother and take over the elf village."

Therissa's pupils widened, but as a result of my orders, she didn't say a word.

"Next, I want you to gather everyone in the village. I want you to order them into an ambush and force them to accept their fate."

A silent tear ran down Therissa's face, but once again she didn't say a word.

Since they had a longer lifespan, elves were at a much higher level than most other races. Killing one could allow someone at a weak level to level up significantly or even evolve on the spot.

That was what I planned to do with Therissa and the elf village all along. That was the deal I struck with the military. Conquest was coming, and there were other forces also to come.

To withstand it, I needed a powerful pack along with powerful allies. It was a war, and I alone couldn't fight it. After issuing those orders, it was time to give my last and final order.

"After you're done, come find me, and I'll put an end to it."

Living with the thought of her being the one to murder all her people was too cruel a punishment for her to bear; I thought I'd grant her one final kindness.

Therissa nodded before turning around and moving like a robot out of the room. After Therissa left, I stood up and also left the room. I then went to find the elder who had brought me here and carried Khalissi's body toward her.

Previously, she had refused to turn Khalissi's body into a life seed, but after I put the fear of death in her, she had no choice but to comply.

"You said you would leave the village right after I gave you this thing," she said shakily as she placed Khalissi's life seed in my hand like an offering.

The life side was shaped like the seed of a tree except it was golden in color and had several darker shade runes embedded on it.

I calmly took the seed that was made from what was left of Khalissi's remains and calmly placed it into my pocket where it would be safe.

The elder looked a bit relieved as I placed the seed in my pocket, but in the next instant, I decapitated her. The sole reason was that her words about Khalissi had angered me before.

As I left her home, I could hear distant screams. It seemed Therissa had successfully completed her first order and murdered her brother. Without paying the distant commotion any mind, I left the elf village.

The portal to exit was already open. I didn't question it much since I expected it. Someone else was waiting for me on the outside, and I could feel their presence.

Stepping out of the portal, what greeted me was a certain white-haired woman with bloodshot eyes. Her hands were bathed in dried blood, and even her clothes were a mess.

Her flame-colored eyes were piercing as she stared at me with mixed emotions.

I strode forward uncaringly and stopped just in front of her.

"Lilith."
