Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 747: First Meeting

Chapter 747: Chapter 747: First Meeting

Ivy nearly rolled her eyes. Part of her felt guilty.

The other part immediately remembered how much trouble Nanami himself had caused.

“You are really complaining right now?”

Her tone became flat.

Nanami coughed awkwardly. “I am merely stating facts.”

Ivy almost laughed despite the situation. His ability to casually shift blame remained impressive.

However, this was not the time for arguments. Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to calm down. “Fine.”

Her voice softened. “I will not hold it against you.”

Then her expression became serious again. “But tell me.”

She clenched her fists. “There must be something we can do.”

Her eyes drifted toward the battlefield reports.

People were dying everywhere. Not only within her territory. Across the world.

Entire cities were under attack. Villages were disappearing. Military outposts were being overwhelmed.

Some of the victims were soldiers. Others were ordinary civilians.

The result remained the same. Humanity was dying at an alarming rate.

For the first time in a long while, panic crept into Ivy’s heart.

Nanami remained silent for several seconds. Then he finally spoke. “There is one possibility.”

Immediately, Ivy straightened. “What is it?”

“You need to negotiate with Tammy.”

The moment those words left his mouth, Ivy’s expression darkened. “No.”

Her answer came instantly. “I refuse.”

The thought alone made her uncomfortable. “I do not want any direct contact with her.”

Her eyes narrowed.

“Who knows what kind of trap she might be planning? And if something goes wrong, my people will suffer.”

Nanami responded calmly.

“It would only be one agreement.”

His tone carried unusual seriousness. “I will personally act as a witness.”

Even then, Ivy remained hesitant. However, as the days passed, her resistance slowly began to weaken.

The casualty reports continued arriving.

Every report was worse than the previous one.

Within only two days of open warfare, more than three hundred thousand humans had died.

Three hundred thousand.

The number was so horrifying that many government leaders struggled to believe it.

Emergency meetings were conducted nonstop.

National armies were deployed everywhere.

Governments desperately reinforced major cities.

Unfortunately, the mutated humans proved frighteningly intelligent.

Rather than attacking heavily defended locations, they targeted remote villages.

Places where military reinforcements required hours to arrive.

By the time soldiers reached those locations, it was already too late.

Entire communities had vanished.

The dead included elderly people who could barely walk.

Children who had never held a weapon.

Young men and women simply trying to survive.

The images broadcast worldwide filled people with dread.

Government leaders grew increasingly desperate.

If this continued much longer, humanity might not survive at all.

One after another, representatives from different nations began contacting Tammy.

Not because they trusted her.

But because they desperately hoped to find some middle ground before humanity completely collapsed.

If this had happened a month earlier, Tammy would have continued acting arrogant and dismissive.

However, things were different now. She knew the truth. The situation was no longer entirely under her control.

Although humanity was suffering enormous losses, her own side was paying a heavy price as well.

Every day, more human puppets were being killed. More of her plans were being countered. The treasures appearing in Ivy’s possession continued to exceed her expectations.

Tammy understood one thing very clearly. She could not continue this forever.

At least not without paying a high cost. Therefore, she decided to drag the negotiations out for as long as possible while simultaneously creating opportunities to gain an advantage.

Before, she wouldn’t have to do it, but because of Ivy… she had to!

‘That bitch Ivy cannot continue living.’

As a result, she secretly devised another plan. A plan that involved Princess Rayami.

After finalizing every detail, Tammy calmly waited for representatives from the various governments to arrive.

When they finally appeared, she presented her first condition. “I will only negotiate through Ivy.”

The representatives frowned. Tammy continued casually. “I am not interested in speaking to anyone else.”

Her voice carried absolute certainty. “If Ivy is not present, I will not answer a single question.”

The demand immediately caused an uproar. However, no one dared reject it outright.

As a result, the governments had no choice but to approach Ivy. One after another, officials contacted her. Many practically begged and offered various benefits.

Yet Ivy remained calm throughout the entire process. “No.”

Her answer was simple. “I need something else.”

The representatives exchanged confused glances. “What do you want?”

Ivy’s expression remained unreadable. “My condition is equally simple.”

Her voice was calm. “If Tammy demands my death during the negotiation, none of you will force me to accept.”

Silence instantly descended. Several government representatives looked stunned.

Others looked uncomfortable. A few intelligent politicians immediately understood why she was making such a demand.

One official could not help speaking up. “If your death could save humanity…”

He hesitated. “…shouldn’t you sacrifice yourself?”

The moment those words were spoken, the atmosphere became tense. Before Ivy could even respond, several other representatives immediately objected.

“What nonsense are you saying?”

One leader slammed his hand onto the table. “Who spread the cure against the zombie virus?”

Another person stood up. “Who helped humanity survive until now?”

More voices joined in. “It was Ivy. She is humanity’s greatest hope. If she dies, what guarantee do we have that the superior beings will stop attacking? None.”

The answer was obvious. None at all.

They could not trust Tammy’s promises. Not after everything she had done. Not after all the deaths she had caused.

Eventually, the majority reached the same conclusion. Ivy would not be sacrificed.

Once she received that assurance, she finally agreed to attend the negotiations.

Soon afterward, she arrived at the designated location.

The meeting place was an enormous building that had suffered severe damage during previous battles.

Most of the upper floors had collapsed. Only the ground floor remained relatively intact. Broken concrete littered the area.

Inside, Tammy sat comfortably on an expensive sofa. Coco occupied the seat beside her.

Nanami sat nearby as well, looking considerably calmer than the other two.

The moment Ivy entered, Tammy’s lips curved upward.

A faint chuckle escaped her mouth. “I honestly thought you would bring your little puppy.”
