Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 752: Successful

Chapter 752: Chapter 752: Successful

Ivy stood silently in the center. The intense energy whipped her hair wildly around her face.

Then she slowly lowered her head. A bitter smile appeared on her lips.

‘Sorry, Silas, Mother, Father, my sisters and brothers.’

Her chest tightened painfully.

‘If I don’t do this…’

She closed her eyes. ‘Ember’s child will definitely die.’

Tammy watched as a brilliant flash of light engulfed Ivy’s body.

For a brief moment, everything became eerily silent. A few seconds later, Tammy frowned. She noticed that few of the stones around the array moved differently.

Her instincts were telling her that someone was around there.

‘Did something change?’

She couldn’t pinpoint what felt strange. Before she had the chance to think any further, Ivy’s body slowly floated into the air.

Her limbs hung limply as though every ounce of weight had disappeared. Then, a translucent figure slowly emerged from her body.

Ivy’s soul floated several feet above her physical body, surrounded by countless crimson particles.

Seeing this, Tammy immediately turned toward Nanami. Nanami slowly closed his eyes.

The surrounding spiritual energy began gathering around him as he activated his bloodline ability.

Moments later, he started absorbing Ivy’s soul. Meanwhile, Tammy hurried toward Ivy’s body.

Her eyes sparkled with excitement. She carefully examined every inch of it.

“This body…” A smile slowly spread across her face. “…it’s even more perfect than I imagined. “

Without wasting another second, she immediately initiated the soul exchange.

The ritual circle flared once again. A wave of energy erupted outward.

Soon, Tammy’s soul entered Ivy’s body while her previous body collapsed lifelessly onto the ground.

Nearby, Coco silently watched everything unfold.

A faint frown appeared on her face. ‘If I don’t obtain those weapon blueprints…’

She narrowed her eyes. ‘…I’ll definitely suffer the greatest loss here.’

As she remained lost in thought, Tammy slowly opened her new eyes. She sat up before gently stretching her neck.

Several joints cracked softly. “This body feels a little stiff.”

She flexed her fingers one by one. “But that’s fine. I’ll get used to it.”

Meanwhile, Nanami finally opened his eyes. Instead of looking satisfied, however, he frowned. Something felt off.

He quietly examined the ritual formation before looking toward Coco. “What kind of array did you use?”

Coco immediately crossed her arms. “There shouldn’t be any problem.”

She sounded slightly defensive. “I created the ritual using blood.”

Then she proudly continued. “Not only that, I even mixed powdered gold into the markings to strengthen the formation.”

Hearing that explanation, Nanami’s brows knitted together. “That might explain it.”

His voice became thoughtful. “The soul extraction wasn’t entirely complete.”

He slowly closed his eyes again, recalling the earlier sensation. “Ivy’s soul felt unusually weak.”

Coco’s expression changed. “How is that possible?”

She immediately shook her head.

“Even if the gold absorbed part of Ivy’s energy, her soul shouldn’t have weakened to the point where you could sense it.”

A suspicious expression appeared on Coco’s face as she asked, “Is there a possibility that Ivy’s soul has been snatched away?”

Nanami remained silent for several seconds. He quietly examined the changes within his own body. Soon afterward, a smile appeared on his face.

“That doesn’t seem to be the case.”

Both Tammy and Coco looked toward him. “My bloodline compatibility has increased.”

The moment those words were spoken, both of them smiled. “Congratulations.”

Even though Nanami had nearly betrayed them during the negotiations, they still wanted him to succeed.

After all, they were allies now. Besides, Nanami had helped humanity numerous times. He had never directly handed over everything.

Instead, he only leaked small pieces of information. It was humanity itself that constantly believed it had somehow gained the upper hand.

Nanami slowly looked toward the sky. “It’s time. We should leave Earth.”

Hearing those words, Coco frowned. “Are we really going to take Ivy’s conditions seriously?”

During the negotiations, Ivy had made several demands.

Besides ensuring Ember’s child’s safety, she had demanded that Nanami, Tammy, and Coco leave Earth immediately.

Not only that, but they also had to give humanity six additional months to prepare before informing their planet’s royal about the condition of Earth.

Furthermore, they had to provide Earth with a one-year warning before officially declaring war again.

That meant humanity would receive one year and six months before another invasion could legally begin.

Coco couldn’t help feeling uneasy. ‘Once we return…’

She glanced toward Tammy. ‘Princess Raya will definitely notice how compatible Ivy’s body is.’

Her expression darkened. ‘If the princess decides to take this body away… Tammy will die. And if Tammy dies… I’ll lose one of my strongest supporters.’

Unlike Coco, Nanami remained completely calm. He suddenly chuckled.

“Logically speaking… we did make that promise.”

He smiled knowingly. “But think carefully. We never promised that we wouldn’t return to Earth.”

Both Tammy and Coco blinked. Nanami continued. “Ivy only demanded that we wouldn’t attack Earth.”

He casually shrugged.

“We can still remain here. We simply need to leave Earth’s perimeter once. After that, we can return without technically breaking our promise.”

For several seconds, absolute silence filled the ritual chamber. Then both Tammy’s and Coco’s eyes lit up. “You’re a genius.”

Nanami merely waved his hand dismissively. “Let’s begin preparing.”

………………….

Meanwhile, Ivy’s family patiently waited for her return. The first few hours passed quietly.

Everyone convinced themselves that negotiations probably required more time. However, as the sun slowly disappeared beyond the horizon… Ivy still hadn’t returned.

One day passed, then another. Still, no news has arrived. Eventually, panic slowly began spreading through everyone.

Unable to endure the uncertainty any longer, Kael hurried toward Silas.

At that moment, Silas was busy commanding the army. Although exhaustion was clearly visible on his face, he continued directing every operation with focus.

The moment Kael reached him, he immediately spoke. “Silas.”

His breathing was uneven from running. “Don’t you think it’s been far too long since Ivy has left?”

He looked around the base. “I’ve also noticed that the temperature surrounding the base has started dropping. Doesn’t that mean Ivy’s powers are fading?”

He clenched his fists. “Has something happened to her?”
