Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 755: Confrontation

Chapter 755: Chapter 755: Confrontation

Likewise, Felix had become a rather well-known figure there.

Only then did Gwen discover another shocking fact. Ivy’s brother was actually Felix.

The moment she learned that, countless fantasies immediately filled her mind.

She imagined Felix confessing to her one final time. This time, she would graciously accept him.

After everything that had happened during the apocalypse, who wouldn’t want such a life?

A handsome man who loved only her. A luxurious life inside the safest base in the world. She had dreamed about it countless times.

Unfortunately, reality was much crueler than her imagination.

The moment she entered the Silvy Base, several soldiers happened to be chatting nearby.

“I heard Felix and Annie might be getting married soon.”

The moment Gwen heard Felix’s name, she immediately froze. At first, she thought she had misheard.

However, after arriving outside Ivy’s residence and seeing Felix walk out of the building with her own eyes…

She realized they were talking about the very same Felix who had once chased after her.

Unwilling to accept reality, she secretly followed him. Soon enough, Felix noticed her presence.

Thinking quickly, Gwen casually smiled. “What a coincidence. I didn’t expect to meet you here.”

To her surprise, Felix looked genuinely delighted. He immediately grabbed her wrist.

“Can you come with me for a moment? There is someone I’d like you to meet. I also need you to help clear up a misunderstanding.”

Without giving her much time to react, he led her straight toward Annie.

The moment Gwen saw Annie… only one thought crossed her mind.

‘Felix couldn’t forget me… So he found someone who looks like me instead.’

From anyone else’s perspective, that conclusion would have seemed completely reasonable.

After all, the resemblance between Annie and Gwen was astonishing.

Believing she had figured everything out, Gwen deliberately spoke as though Felix still had feelings for her.

However, instead of the reaction she expected, Felix frowned. “Gwen.”

His voice became noticeably colder. “I understand that my behavior in the past might have troubled you.”

He sighed quietly. “But that doesn’t give you the right to insult my girlfriend.”

From Felix’s point of view, Gwen simply appeared angry because of his past actions. He never realized the real reason behind her hostility.

Meanwhile, Annie stood quietly beside him. Looking at Felix, she couldn’t help finding the situation slightly amusing.

‘His emotional intelligence is truly hopeless. It’s honestly a miracle he managed to win my heart.’

Suppressing the urge to laugh, Annie calmly looked toward Gwen. “I think the misunderstanding has finally been cleared.”

A gentle smile appeared on her face. “I also understand one thing now.”

She slowly wrapped one arm around Felix’s. “He doesn’t belong to you anymore.”

Her voice remained polite. “So, please leave.”

Gwen immediately scoffed. “Oh?”

She crossed her arms. “Just because you tell me to leave doesn’t mean I’ll actually do it. I’ll leave whenever I feel like it.”

Felix blinked in confusion. The atmosphere suddenly felt incredibly strange.

Neither woman seemed willing to back down. Completely unable to understand what was happening, Felix awkwardly scratched the back of his head. “I…”

His gaze wandered toward the kitchen. “I’ll go bring everyone something to eat.”

The moment Gwen saw him leaving, she couldn’t help sneering. “So you’ve fallen this low?”

She looked mockingly at Annie. “You even make him cook just to keep him happy?”

Felix immediately frowned. “What are you talking about?”

He looked genuinely confused. “I used to prepare meals for you too.”

The instant those words left his mouth… everything became silent.

Felix froze. So did Gwen. A flood of forgotten memories surged into her mind.

She remembered every morning when she had been too lazy to eat breakfast.

She remembered Felix arriving with warm homemade food that still carried the comforting aroma of freshly cooked rice.

She had always assumed he bought everything outside. Her lips slowly parted. “You…”

She stared blankly at him. “You made those meals yourself?”

Felix scratched his cheek awkwardly. “I didn’t. I used to order my nanny to make it. But it was homemade in the end!”

Gwen slowly stood up. “Felix…”

She clenched her fists tightly. “You really are an idiot.”

Her eyes gradually reddened. “You deceived me! You claimed to love me, and yet you never made me any food on your own!”

Felix remained completely speechless. Annie silently watched the exchange. Now she finally understood everything.

Gwen had indeed liked Felix. She simply never realized it herself until she lost him.

Unfortunately… it was already far too late. Felix took a deep breath before looking directly at Gwen.

“Wait.”

His expression became serious. “I was genuinely attracted to you back then.”

He didn’t try to deny it. “I truly loved you.”

A bitter smile appeared on his face.

“I know my constant confessions probably caused you a lot of trouble. So… I’m sorry. I only invited you here today because I wanted to clear up the misunderstanding with Annie.”

After saying that, he helplessly looked toward Annie. His pleading eyes silently begged for help.

The previous misunderstanding had traumatized him enough already. He didn’t want history to repeat itself.

Annie sighed inwardly. Looking at Gwen, Annie calmly spoke. “If you’re truly angry…”

Her voice remained gentle. “…then perhaps you should leave for today, Miss Gwen. Continuing this conversation won’t change the past.”

She held Felix’s hand a little tighter. “And it certainly won’t change the present.”

Gwen’s entire body trembled with anger. She pointed a shaking finger at Annie, her eyes bloodshot from crying.

“You…”

Her voice cracked before she could continue. “You should kick him out, shouldn’t you?”

Tears rolled uncontrollably down her cheeks. Annie looked at her calmly, her expression remaining composed despite Gwen’s emotional outburst.

“Why should I kick him out?”

She tilted her head slightly. “It’s not like he ever lied to me.”

Her voice remained gentle. “If he had hidden the fact that he ever liked you, then that would have been a completely different matter.”

She paused before adding, “But he never deceived me.”
