Once they reached the secluded area, they finally stopped the hover car.
By this point, Ivy’s entire face had turned pale.
Even though she had absorbed a huge amount of energy from the light crystals, there was no denying that she had already exhausted too much of her own strength.
Her vision began to blur, and her body felt as though it had suddenly become unbearably heavy.
She stopped maintaining the hover car illusion.
The moment the illusion disappeared, Ivy’s knees gave way, and she nearly collapsed onto the ground.
Before she could fall, Silas quickly caught her.
He held her firmly against his chest and absorbed most of the impact himself, making sure that Ivy did not suffer even the slightest injury.
When Ivy finally opened her eyes, she looked around dazedly.
“Find a hideout.”
Silas gently patted her back.
“Do not worry about that. I will handle everything.”
Before they could make any further arrangements, Silas waved his hand.
The next second, everyone entered the Temporal Storage.
The moment they arrived inside, the exhaustion they had been suppressing finally caught up with them.
Everyone collapsed onto the ground, desperate to rest after everything they had endured.
Meanwhile, Silas forced himself to remain awake and walked toward the villa he had previously requested the Temporal Storage to construct.
After assigning everyone their own rooms, he carried Ivy into his room.
He quickly made sure that she was clean and comfortable before placing her carefully onto the bed. After covering her with a warm blanket, he leaned down and kissed her forehead.
“Now sleep. Sleep peacefully and do not worry about anything.”
Once Ivy was alone in the room, Silas gathered everyone together to discuss their next plan.
They could not continue living inside the Temporal Storage forever.
Sooner or later, the superior beings would realize that something was wrong, and once they discovered that their prisoners had escaped, wanted posters would likely appear throughout the city.
“We cannot stay here permanently.”
Silas looked around at everyone before continuing.
“From the information Ivy gave me, we need to find Princess Catherine.”
Everyone stared at him in confusion.
“Princess Catherine? Who is she again?”
Silas shook his head honestly.
“I do not know her either. However, Ivy’s future self told her through a dream that if Ivy helps Princess Catherine recover her health, she will gain the trust of Eugenia and Valer.”
He paused briefly before continuing.
“Eugenia and Valer are both prince and princesses. As long as Ivy gains their support, we will finally have a foothold here.”
Everyone nodded thoughtfully.
“All right. If Princess Catherine needs to recover, then we first need to gather more information about her. Once we have enough information, we can disperse and investigate further. Meanwhile, someone among us should keep an eye on Princess Rayaami and find out what her next move will be.”
After everyone’s roles had been assigned, Silas returned to Ivy’s room.
He climbed onto the bed, pulled Ivy gently into his arms, and finally allowed himself to rest.
That night, however, Silas had an extremely strange dream.
In the dream, Ivy was sitting inside a completely blue room.
Everything was blue.
The walls, the floor, and even the objects surrounding her carried the same deep shade, leaving not a single trace of another color anywhere in the room.
At the center stood a huge circular platform.
Ivy was sitting quietly on top of it, surrounded by the unnatural blue silence.
Behind Ivy stood multiple enormous walls, each one filled with images of different planets and vast universes. Countless stars shimmered across them, and distant galaxies slowly revolved as though they were alive.
It looked as if Ivy were sitting at the very center of a multiverse.
When Ivy sensed Silas approaching, she slowly opened her eyes. The moment she saw him, a flicker of surprise crossed her face.
A gentle smile soon appeared on her lips.
She stood up and walked toward Silas before wrapping her arms around him in a tight hug.
“It has been such a long time.”
For some reason, Silas detected a faint melancholy hidden beneath her voice. He could not understand why, but the sadness in those few words made his heart tighten.
He gently patted her back.
“Ivy, what happened? Why are you saying that? Aren’t we sleeping together every night? You are even pregnant with our twins.”
The moment Ivy heard those words, she paused. Then, a huge smile slowly spread across her face.
“Really? That is good to know. Then, when the twins are born, name one of them Silas.”
Silas could not help laughing.
“What? We can choose a better name than that. We could name her Iviana, and if we have a boy, we could name him Simon or Silvy.”
Hearing that, Ivy held him even tighter. “Really? That would be wonderful.”
She remained silent for a moment before looking at him.
“Also, make sure you remember our children’s faces and tell me what they look like. I would be happy just knowing that.”
Silas frowned. He wrapped his arms around her and looked at her with growing uneasiness.
“Ivy, why are you saying things like that? You sound as though you are leaving me. Please do not scare me.”
Ivy laughed softly. “No, I am not leaving you. You should return now.”
With those words, she gently pushed him away and turned around as if she were about to leave.
Silas immediately reached out, pulled her back, and kissed her lips.
“Ivy, what happened? Why are you saying all these things? You are making me sad for no reason.”
Even Silas could not explain the strange feeling spreading through his chest. Looking at the Ivy in front of him, he felt as though someone had driven a blade directly through his heart.
She looked so haggard and exhausted, almost as if she had already lost everything she cared about.
The sight was unbearably painful to witness. Ivy smiled gently. “It is nothing, my love.”
She leaned forward, kissed his lips once more, and whispered, “Go and live a beautiful life.”
Silas subconsciously tried to stop her. However, the next second, everything disappeared.
He suddenly jolted awake from the cold sensation that had spread across his body.
Silas immediately looked around for Ivy. “Ivy?”
The bed beside him was cold and empty. His heart dropped.
He quickly sat up and began looking around frantically.
“Ivy! Ivy!”
A moment later, Ivy emerged from the bathroom, her expression filled with confusion.
“What happened? Why are you shouting so early in the morning?”
Before she could say anything else, Silas rushed toward her and hugged her tightly.
“Oh my God, you scared me.”
Ivy felt his entire body trembling against hers. His breathing was uneven, and his heartbeat was pounding so violently that she could feel it through his chest.
She gently patted his back. “All right, all right. Do not worry. I am here.”
It took several moments before Silas finally calmed down.
Ivy continued stroking his back before asking softly, “What happened? Did you have a nightmare?”
Silas shook his head.
“Nothing. I just seemed to see a version of you who was completely alone. She looked as though she could break apart at any moment, and I felt as if my heart was being pierced by countless blades.”
Ivy paused. She wrapped her arms around him and held him tightly.
“Forget about it. I am here, right? We will live a good life together.”
Hearing that, Silas nodded. “Yes.”
He remained quiet for a moment before suddenly speaking again. “Ivy, how about this? I will find a way to learn resurrection.”
Ivy frowned.
She pulled away slightly and looked directly into his eyes.
“What do you mean?”
Silas hesitated before answering.
“I keep feeling as though you might end up alone, Ivy. I cannot stop worrying that I might leave you just like I did in my past life. I do not want you to face the entire world by yourself. If possible, I want to…”
Before he could finish, Ivy gently covered his lips with her fingers. “Do not worry. You will not die.”
She lowered her hand and looked at him seriously.
“As for resurrection, let us simply find a way to make sure that even if either of us dies before the other, the person who survives will at least have a way to continue living.”
