Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 835: Miracle

Chapter 835: Chapter 835: Miracle

The moment Ivy said the word “husband,” all of Silas’s anger vanished into thin air, and a foolish smile immediately spread across his face.

Meanwhile, Valer stared at him.

“He is your husband?”

He gave Silas a slow once-over, his expression becoming increasingly strange, almost as though he were deeply disappointed by Ivy’s choice.

Silas narrowed his eyes. ‘What does this guy mean by looking at me like that?’

He suddenly turned toward Ivy. “If this guy disrespects me again, we are leaving.”

Ivy quickly grabbed his arm and smiled awkwardly. “Please do not take his judgment to heart. It has simply become a habit of his.”

Valer cleared his throat and straightened his clothes. “I will take my leave first.”

He genuinely seemed worried that he might say or do something else that could offend Ivy or provoke Silas, so he quickly left.

For the next two days, Valer was mainly occupied with investigating Ivy’s identity.

However, no matter how deeply he searched, he could not find anything useful.

Even after digging through every record he could access, there was not a single piece of information that could explain who Ivy really was.

Eventually, he even began wondering whether Ivy might be some kind of fugitive whose identity had been deliberately erased.

What reassured him, however, was Princess Catherine.

Her condition had begun improving.

Her breathing had become steadier, the pallor of her skin had faded slightly, and there were even moments when her fingers moved faintly, as though she might wake up at any second.

On the third day, Princess Eugenia finally arrived.

She had brought another friend with her.

The woman wore spectacles, and her silver hair was neatly tied into a bun. However, the most unusual thing about her appearance was the blue color at the roots of her hair.

It was the first time Ivy had ever seen someone with naturally blue hair.

As soon as Eugenia arrived with the doctor, she hurried toward Catherine’s room. “Examine her. Please, examine her.”

Erina immediately approached Catherine and carefully examined her condition. Her expression gradually became solemn before she finally looked toward Eugenia.

“It will be extremely difficult. Your mother is indeed in a slightly better condition than before, but from my perspective, the improvement is mainly because of the nutrients she has been receiving.”

She adjusted her spectacles.

“I do not think nutrients alone will be enough to cure her. Certain herbs will be required as well, but those herbs are extremely expensive to import, and bringing them here will take time.”

Erina stopped before finishing her sentence.

She did not need to say anything more.

Eugenia understood what she meant. Her eyes immediately became moist.

“Whatever needs to be imported, I can pay for it. Please do not give up on my mother yet. You are my best friend, right? Erina, please do this for me.”

Erina fell into a dilemma. Just then, she noticed Ivy entering the room while carrying a steaming bowl of noodle soup.

The fragrant aroma immediately spread through the room, carrying the warmth of freshly cooked broth.

Erina’s eyes widened. She pointed toward Ivy. “Where did you get the ingredients to make all of this?”

Ivy paused for a moment. “Well, I have my own special methods. I am here to cure Miss Catherine, after all.”

Only then did Eugenia notice the newcomer. Her expression immediately became alert. “Who are you?”

She quickly asked Ivy to show her work badge.

Fortunately, Valer had already given Ivy one on her first day.

Ivy took it out and showed it to her.

After checking it carefully, Eugenia finally relaxed.

She looked at Ivy and then at the steaming bowl of soup with curiosity.

“Mother is still asleep. She will not be able to eat this soup right now. Put it aside.”

There was no greed in her voice. She was simply worried that her mother might choke if she tried to eat while unconscious.

Before Eugenia could say anything else, however, Catherine’s eyelids suddenly trembled.

Her eyes slowly opened.

Catherine looked around in confusion, her vision still blurry from sleep. When Eugenia noticed the movement, she immediately rushed to her side and grabbed her hand.

“Mother, you are finally awake! You do not know how much I…”

The next second, Catherine weakly raised her hand and stopped her.

“Stop. First, let me eat something. I feel as though I am going to starve to death.”

Eugenia immediately nodded. “Wait. I will ask the maids to bring you some food.”

Catherine weakly waved her hand. “No. Just ask the maid to bring me the usual nutrient liquid she has been giving me. It is delicious.”

A faint smile appeared on Catherine’s face. “For the past two days, I kept feeling as though I was in heaven. Even my body feels much better.”

Ivy finally spoke. “It was me.”

Eugenia looked toward Ivy before turning toward Erina, silently waiting for her opinion.

Erina paused before looking at the bowl of noodles.

“Let me first check whether there is anything wrong with this food. It is possible that some banned chemical or substance was used to force Princess Catherine’s body to recover temporarily, only for it to cause greater damage later.”

Ivy immediately nodded. “Go ahead. I will not stop you.”

She had nothing to fear. Soon, they all went to Erina’s laboratory.

Meanwhile, Catherine was beginning to feel increasingly irritated.

‘That little girl should have at least left me a small bowl of food before taking it away for testing.’

Her stomach growled faintly, making her even more frustrated.

She immediately pressed the communication button.

After a moment, Valer appeared on the screen.

The instant he saw his mother awake, tears appeared in his eyes.

“Mother, you are finally awake!”

He immediately rushed toward her.

However, Catherine stopped him before he could even reach her.

“Go and bring me the noodles your nanny made. I want to eat them.”

Valer froze.

“Mother, she is not a nanny. She is a doctor I hired, and she only makes one bowl of food for you. I highly doubt there is anything left in the kitchen.”

Catherine’s expression immediately darkened.

“That Eugenia girl should have at least left me a small portion. Now I am starving to death.”

Valer quickly tried to reassure her.

“If that is the case, Mother, I can bring you something else. Just yesterday, I managed to get some cabbages. They are absolutely amazing.”

Catherine immediately waved her hand.

Her favorite dish had indeed once been stir-fried cabbage because its appearance and flavor had always reminded her of the food she used to eat in the past. It gave her a strange sense of comfort and emotional warmth.

However, as time passed, she had gradually become tired of eating it.

Even so, she had continued eating it simply because she knew that there was nothing more delicious than the cabbage.

Who would have thought that someone would eventually feed her something even more delicious than cabbage?

Thinking about it, Catherine felt a little regretful.

‘If only I had followed them to the laboratory. Once they finished testing the noodles, I could have eaten them immediately.’

She sighed inwardly before looking toward the laboratory results Eugenia’s friend had brought back.

Ivy had never actually conducted a proper laboratory test herself, so she did not understand all the technical details. However, as she looked over the results, her expression gradually became serious.

Eugenia’s eyes widened as she read the report.

“How is this possible? How can a simple bowl of noodles have properties capable of healing someone suffering from organ failure?”

Erina calmly nodded, although the expression on her face was complicated whenever she looked toward Ivy.

“Even I do not know how to explain it. However, there is no denying the results. This is a miracle. It is simply a miracle.”

She adjusted her spectacles and looked directly at Eugenia.

“I would recommend that you let her continue doing whatever she believes is necessary.”

Eugenia immediately hugged her best friend.

“Thank you so much. If you had not been here, I might have completely lost hope.”

After pulling away, Eugenia turned toward Ivy and bowed deeply.

Ivy quickly stepped aside and stopped her. “You do not need to bow to me.”

Eugenia straightened herself and looked at Ivy with sincere gratitude.

“I cannot thank you enough. If my mother is truly cured because of your food, then I assure you that no one on this entire planet will be able to touch you.”
