Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 837: Acquistion

Chapter 837: Chapter 837: Acquistion

It was the first time in the history of Astra that someone had managed to sell ordinary food that superior beings could consume without relying on nutrient liquids.

Not only was the food delicious, but it was also extremely nutritious, making it almost equivalent to an exceptionally high-quality nutrient supplement.

Rayami had immediately tried to contact the restaurant’s owner.

However, the owner had been particularly arrogant and had refused to meet her.

That behavior had made Rayami suspicious.

She had even begun wondering whether the restaurant belonged to Ivy.

After all, the restaurant had not existed before Ivy appeared.

‘Could this restaurant have something to do with her?’

Rayami had investigated the place for quite some time, but she had not found a single member of Ivy’s group.

She had, however, encountered two people who claimed to be partial owners of the restaurant.

Both of them gave off the aura of ordinary superior beings, and after observing them carefully, Rayami eventually abandoned her suspicion.

She lingered around the restaurant for several days before finally coming to Princess Catherine’s palace.

By then, even Rayami had been forced to acknowledge that the restaurant was truly extraordinary.

‘If I can acquire that restaurant before any of my siblings realize its true value, it could become extremely useful.’

While Rayami was lost in those thoughts, Eugenia calmly spoke.

“Now that you have seen my mother, shouldn’t you leave?”

Rayami immediately put on a forced smile.

“What are you saying, Eugenia? I have come to visit after such a long time. Surely I should at least stay until evening.”

She walked closer to Catherine’s bed.

“I am not leaving. I will stay here and look after her.”

With that, she sat beside Princess Catherine.

However, she continued sniffing the air every few moments.

Valer leaned toward Eugenia’s ear and whispered, “Why do I keep feeling as though she is some kind of dog sniffing for food?”

Eugenia immediately burst into laughter.

Rayami’s hand froze in midair.

Her fingers slowly curled into a fist beneath her sleeve before she forced herself to relax.

She then laughed along with them as though she had not been offended at all.

Valer did not care whether Rayami took his words seriously.

He was mature enough to understand that Rayami was not going to be the one sitting on the throne.

Rayami remained there for the rest of the evening before finally leaving.

Before she departed, she did not forget to warn Eugenia and Valer.

“Be careful of that restaurant. From what I have heard, that restaurant produces artificially grown vegetables.”

She paused and looked at them seriously.

“I am going to warn everyone else as well, so I thought I should warn the two of you in advance.”

Eugenia and Valer rolled their eyes internally.

However, they merely nodded politely.

Once Rayami had completely disappeared from their field of vision, they turned around and returned to the living room.

They sat down on the sofa. A moment later, Ivy finally emerged from her hiding place.

She looked at the two siblings with a serious expression.

“That woman is definitely going to try to kill your mother.”

This time, Eugenia and Valer did not argue with her.

They knew exactly what kind of person Rayami was.

‘What can that woman not do to sit on the throne?’

It was already clear that Rayami would resort to some kind of underhanded trick.

After a long silence, Eugenia finally spoke.

“I agree with you, but you need to remember three conditions.”

Ivy motioned for her to continue.

Eugenia raised one finger.

“First, after you ascend to the throne, you must promise that you will not kill us simply to erase the stain of having seen you when you were at your lowest.”

Ivy shrugged.

“I am not at my lowest. At most, I would simply ignore you after ascending the throne, even if you refused to help me.”

Hearing that, Eugenia continued.

“Second, and this is the most important rule, you must never pressure any of your descendants into marrying any of our descendants.”

Ivy nodded immediately.

“That is too far into the future, but no, I will not force my own children to marry anyone they do not want to marry.”

Eugenia continued speaking, her expression becoming slightly more serious.

“The third and foremost condition is that after you ascend the throne, we will be given special conditions, permissions, and even certain rights. We should be pardoned whenever we accidentally offend you, and we should also receive some special privileges as your family.”

Ivy agreed without much hesitation.

Seeing how readily she accepted their conditions, Eugenia could not help but chuckle.

“You are agreeing so easily right now, but what if you go back on your word later? It seems that we need to draw up an official contract.”

Ivy was not frightened in the slightest.

She simply nodded. “That is fine.”

Soon, both sides signed the contract.

Eugenia looked at Ivy with a complicated expression after seeing how easily she had accepted everything.

She subconsciously asked, “Aren’t you worried that we might exploit your generosity? And why are you being so generous toward us?”

Ivy shrugged.

“I do not think any of your conditions are unreasonable.”

Valer knocked his knuckles lightly against the table.

“All right, all right. Now that you two have finished your discussion, isn’t it time for us to find out how exactly you plan to take the throne?”

A faint smirk appeared on Ivy’s lips.

“You are the smart one.”

She looked between Eugenia and Valer before continuing. “Here is my proposition.”

Once Ivy finished explaining her plan, Valer looked at her with a complicated expression.

After a moment, he finally spoke.

“I think there is a very high possibility that you will actually be able to ascend the throne with that intelligence of yours.”

Ivy merely shrugged.

Meanwhile, Silas was busy discussing another matter with Jade.

He had left the villa that morning specifically to meet Jade and discuss their next move.

They were planning to open several more branches of their restaurant in different cities.

Their objective was not simply to earn money.

They wanted to establish connections and influence among ordinary people.

They had already realized that it would be difficult for Ivy to sit securely on the throne unless the common people accepted and supported her.

‘If the commoners genuinely love their ruler, then it will be much harder for anyone to shake her position.’

Therefore, they planned to open more restaurants, lower the prices, and provide ordinary superior beings with access to affordable, delicious food.

They wanted Ivy’s name and reputation to spread naturally among the people.

However, just as they were discussing these plans, Princess Rayami appeared.

Silas and Jade had encountered her before.

They had also seen the illusion Ivy had created of Rayami, so they were already familiar with her appearance.

The moment they saw the real Rayami approaching, both of them instinctively became tense.

Rayami, on the other hand, misunderstood their reaction.

She assumed they had already learned about her plan to acquire the restaurant.

A secretive smirk appeared on her lips.

‘Good. They are already afraid.’

She glanced at them arrogantly.

‘It looks like the acquisition will go through without any trouble.’

She stopped in front of them and spoke in a dismissive tone.

“I will not make things difficult for you. Now go and get the acquisition papers.”

Finally, Silas increased the distance between himself and Rayami, keeping his expression completely calm.

“Ma’am, please forgive us, but we are not interested in letting you acquire this place. How about this? You leave first, and then we will decide whether or not we want to continue serving you.”

Hearing those words, Rayami’s expression immediately darkened.

She pointed angrily at Silas.

“Do you even know who I am?”

Silas lowered his gaze slightly, but his voice remained calm.

“At the moment, you are nothing more than a high-ranking official who is behaving unreasonably.”

The moment he said the word “unreasonable,” the atmosphere inside the restaurant subtly changed.

Several customers turned toward Rayami and began giving her displeased looks.

Rayami’s expression stiffened.

She had never expected an ordinary restaurant owner to speak to her in such a manner, much less in front of so many people.

For a moment, she stood there silently before turning around and walking toward the door.

However, she did not leave without throwing one final warning over her shoulder.

“Just you wait. I will make you regret saying those words.”

With that, Rayami stormed out.

Once she returned to her hover vehicle, the anger boiling inside her had still not subsided.
