Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 838: Hotel

Chapter 838: Chapter 838: Hotel

She glanced toward her driver.

“Continue investigating the restaurant. I want information on every single person who has any connection with this place. Search everywhere, even if you have to dig ten feet beneath the ground. I want to know exactly who she is.”

Jade stared at the hovercraft as it disappeared into the distance, his expression becoming increasingly serious.

“I am one hundred percent sure that she will come back and investigate the mastermind connected to this restaurant. We should move faster.”

Silas chuckled. “You are sounding like a typical movie character. ‘We should move faster.’ Where can we even move faster?”

He paused, his expression gradually becoming darker. “The only thing we can do now is…”

Silas leaned closer and whispered his plan.

Jade listened carefully, and his expression became complicated. “You truly are very smart.”

Silas merely gave a faint laugh.

Meanwhile, Rayami returned to her residence, and within moments, Alex appeared before her.

The moment Rayami saw him, she ignored his haggard appearance.

It was obvious that he had not been having a good time.

His entire body was covered with various bruises, and several areas of his clothing were stained with dried blood. Even kneeling had become difficult for him, yet he still forced his aching body downward.

That was simply the fate of servants.

As long as they were discarded by their own masters, they could easily end up suffering a fate worse than death. The enemies they had made while they were favored would eventually return to take revenge on them, and Alex was experiencing exactly that now.

Rayami looked at him calmly. “What information have you obtained so far? Did you find Ivy?”

Alex lowered his gaze. Resentment flickered deep within his eyes, but he quickly suppressed it.

“I have indeed managed to trace them to a certain extent. I learned from several people that they saw the group driving toward one of the mountains. I am currently trying to identify which mountain they went to. Once I have the answer, I will report it directly to you.”

Rayami frowned and interrupted him.

“I asked you for an estimate. I asked you for information, not clues. You did not find anything useful during the entire day?”

Alex immediately fell silent. Rayami gave a faint, cold laugh.

“Truly, I should not have placed so much importance on you.”

Her expression hardened.

“Receive twenty lashes. I want results within three days. If you cannot provide me with anything useful by then, you can jump into the Abyss Valley.”

The moment she finished speaking, Alex’s entire body began trembling.

Who did not know about the Abyss Valley? It was one of the greatest nemeses of superior beings like them.

A terrifying monster lived within its depths, possessing the ability to drain every drop of blood from a person’s body. It did not simply kill its victims; it was said to ensure that they experienced the most agonizing death possible.

Just the thought of being thrown into that place made Alex’s face turn pale.

Seeing him tremble, Rayami finally calmed down. For a brief moment, another thought crossed her mind.

‘Could Alex actually be a spy planted beside me by one of my cousins?’

She narrowed her eyes suspiciously before deciding to investigate him more carefully.

While all of this was happening, Ivy continued taking care of Princess Catherine while simultaneously growing herbs inside her Temporal Storage.

At first, Ivy had no idea how to properly cultivate herbs that could grow in the temporal storage.

However, Silas soon arrived with a book explaining how to cultivate medicinal herbs.

What shocked Ivy even more was that the entire book had been handwritten by Jade.

Jade had casually told her that he possessed foresight and had therefore been able to write the entire book in advance.

Ivy did not completely believe him.

However, she was not the type of person who enjoyed digging into another person’s secrets without a reason.

‘Maybe that really is the case. Or perhaps he was informed by future self.’

Either way, it was no longer her concern.

As Jade remained busy managing the original restaurant, Bella and Alana were not sitting around doing nothing either.

Bella had already left to establish another branch of the restaurant in a different town.

Alana was doing the same.

However, because both of them were hybrids, new problems quickly appeared.

Like Bella, Alana had no connections in the town where she had arrived.

What surprised Bella even more was the incredible amount of technology incorporated into the roads and buildings of the superior beings’ planet.

The roads were incredibly wide and had a strange metallic sheen, making them look as though they had been constructed entirely from metal.

However, Bella soon learned that they were actually made from a special material called plutonium.

Plutonium looked similar to ordinary metal, but its actual composition was closer to the material used in traditional roads and tar.

It also possessed an extremely strange feature. It was self-cleaning.

No one needed to spend time washing the roads or removing dust and dirt because the material automatically cleaned itself.

The high-rise buildings were not made from ordinary glass either.

Instead, they were constructed using a unique material called terranium.

Terranium possessed incredible structural strength. It was far stronger than ordinary construction materials, and even during earthquakes, buildings made from it barely shook.

Bella saw all kinds of unusual architectural designs throughout the city.

One building even had a triangular shape, something she had never seen before.

The architecture was truly impressive.

Despite the advanced technology, the shops throughout the town had relatively simple designs, much like the restaurant they had opened.

However, everything was far more technologically advanced.

Bella quickly realized that this town was most likely governed by some kind of excessively wealthy ruler who had spent an enormous amount of money making the entire city self-cleaning.

There was practically nothing that lacked a self-cleaning function.

The lights had self-cleaning functions. The lamp posts had self-cleaning functions.

Even the roofs and decorative structures around the trees were designed to clean themselves.

Everything seemed to have been created with convenience in mind.

Because of this, Bella became particularly interested in renting a shop there.

When she finally arrived near one of the suitable shops, her eyes immediately lit up.

The building had two floors and was made entirely from the special terranium material.

Even more interestingly, the entire shop was shaped like a star.

Bella could not help feeling excited. ‘This place is perfect.’

She immediately walked inside.

The moment she entered, she noticed a reception desk with a robot-like machine sitting behind it.

Bella walked toward the desk. “I want to rent this place.”

The robotic receptionist immediately scanned her information and registered her details before handing her an auction token.

Bella stared at it in confusion. “An auction?”

The machine calmly displayed the relevant information.

The shop was going to be auctioned for rental the following afternoon.

Bella finally understood. It could be said that she had arrived at exactly the right time.

She had barely arrived before the auction was scheduled to begin.

For the time being, however, she had no choice but to wait until the following day.

Since Bella did not possess a Temporal Storage of her own, she had to rent a hotel somewhere in the city for the night.

Who would have thought that staying at a hotel in this world would be so troublesome?

When Bella arrived at the entrance, the receptionist immediately asked for her ID. Bella paused, her fingers tightening slightly around the strap of her bag/

She remained silent, and the receptionist’s expression quickly turned disdainful.

“Are you a hybrid?”

Bella hurriedly shook her head, but the receptionist was already looking at her with open suspicion. Her gaze traveled over Bella from head to toe before she spoke again.

“There is no need to hide it. Only hybrids don’t have an ID bracelet. However, if you are willing to clean this entire floor, and if I am feeling generous afterward, I might let you rent one of the rooms at a reasonable price.”

The receptionist raised one finger, her lips curling into a faint, smug smile.

Bella frowned. “What price are you talking about?”

The receptionist’s smile widened.

“I will let you stay in one room for 10,000 credits per night.”

Bella sucked in a deep breath.

Ten thousand credits was not a huge sum to her, especially considering that the restaurant’s turnover was already in the millions.

However, that was not the problem. Bella already knew the usual hotel rates in this town, and they did not exceed 1,000 credits per night.
