While Chen Qianxiao and Lustin Volkov were making preparations, Jin Xuyan had already learned about the situation from Chen Qianfeng.

They had just finished clearing out the zombies in the area and were currently taking a fifteen-minute break.

"Captain, the situation is urgent. Should we leave now?" Xiao Qi asked.

Jin Xuyan thought for a moment before saying, "Return to the Green Lake Base first."

Although Chen Qianfeng was worried about his brother, he still followed his Captain’s order. The team packed up and returned to the base.

As the military chopper flew toward the Green Lake Base, Wen Kai turned to his family and said, "Dad, for the next few days, just join the guards and clear the zombies near the base."

Wen Fuze nodded. "You don’t have to worry about us. Just focus on your mission and be careful."

Wen Kai and Wen Mo nodded but said nothing. They didn’t know the situation at the Lunar Base and couldn’t make empty promises.

This was not the first time Wen Fuze and Jia Liufei had faced this kind of situation. Their sons often went on dangerous missions. No matter how worried they were, they wouldn’t show it on their faces to avoid making their sons worry and lose focus.

Forty minutes later, the military chopper landed at the landing area. After undergoing inspections, the Wen family went to the mission hall while the Phantom Team returned to their team’s temporary residence.

They thought they would have to take the military chopper again. However, when they arrived at the residence, they saw their Captain go into his room with his fiancée.

Inside their room, Jin Xuyan looked at his fiancée and asked, "Ah Zhi, is it possible for you to teleport everyone to the Lunar Base?"

"Brother Yan, it’s not impossible. But if I do that, it might expose my system."

Hearing this, Jin Xuyan held her hands and said, "Ah Zhi, actually, besides my black flame, I have another ability."

"You’re a dual-type ability-user?" Jiao Lizhi asked, her eyes widened in surprise.

Jin Xuyan nodded and raised his right hand. The next moment, a sharp black blade appeared on his arm. Upon closer inspection, Jiao Lizhi realized it was made of shadow.

"Shadow-type ability?" she muttered softly.

In their previous life, only one person was known to awaken this mutated ability. She never expected her fiancée to possess it.

"I awakened both the black flame and shadow ability on the day I was reborn. Because of the instability of this ability, I rarely use it."

"Is it because of the experiment you underwent at the Facility? Did the experiment damage your body?" Jiao Lizhi asked.

Jin Xuyan shook his head. "The experiment should be considered successful. My DNA sequence changed due to the mutation, and I obtained self-regeneration ability. My black flame and shadow ability are my own, not because of the experiment."

"The so-called Elixir of Immortality was created using my blood. Fu Guai’s high self-regeneration is also because the Facility used my DNA to alter his."

Jiao Lizhi was stunned. After a moment, she regained her composure and asked, "Then what’s the connection between your shadow-type ability and the space jump?"

"Old Zhang, Old Qin, and Sikai know that I’m a dual-type ability-user, but they don’t know what type my second ability is."

Jiao Lizhi immediately understood his intention. "So you want to use this to cover my System?"

"We’ll tell them that my second ability is teleportation. This type of ability is rare but not uncommon. In the third year of the apocalypse, more teleportation-type ability-users will emerge. By then, no one will pay too much attention to me."

Jiao Lizhi thought for a long time before finally nodding. "Okay, but with one condition."

Jin Xuyan smiled. "Tell me."

"It’s fine for the members to think you have a teleportation ability, but you must tell them there’s a restriction. You can’t use it too often."

"Why?" Jin Xuyan asked with raised eyebrows.

"What if I’m not by your side and the members ask you to use it? We need to leave ourselves a way out."

Jin Xuyan shared the same thought and nodded readily. "I’ll listen to my Ah Zhi."

Noticing his teasing tone, Jiao Lizhi rolled her eyes. "Be more serious."

Jin Xuyan chuckled, leaned down to kiss her, then pulled her out of the room.

When the members saw them return, Zhang Yuan said, "Captain, we’re ready to depart at any time."

Standing before the members, Jin Xuyan said, "Everyone, we won’t be using the military chopper."

"Captain, if we don’t use the chopper, I’m afraid we’ll arrive too late," Chen Qianfeng said.

"Captain, do you have a plan?" Zhang Yuan asked.

Jin Xuyan nodded. "It’s time to use my second ability."

The members were stunned. "Captain, you’re a dual-type ability-user?" Feng Yun asked, amazement flickering in his eyes.

"I am," Jin Xuyan replied calmly.

"Captain, what type is your second ability?" Xiao Qi asked curiously.

Jin Xuyan glanced at everyone and said calmly, "Teleportation."

The moment he said it, the members froze. Aside from Jiao Lizhi and Du Beiye, everyone else was in disbelief.

"Captain, how far can your teleportation reach?" Zhou Huajian asked.

Jin Xuyan glanced at his fiancée. After seeing her nod, he smiled. "We’ll reach it in one jump."

The members were speechless. Even Mo Junjie stared at him in disbelief and interest.

"We don’t have much time. We’ll depart immediately," Jin Xuyan said.

"Captain, do we need to prepare anything?" Yu Fuyun asked.

"No, but you may experience dizziness and nausea," Jin Xuyan replied.

Everyone felt curious but uneasy. None of them had ever encountered a teleportation-type ability-user, let alone one capable of crossing such a long distance.

Jiao Lizhi held Jin Xuyan’s hand and gave him a look.

"Everyone, hold hands with the person beside you," Jin Xuyan said.

The members followed his order and formed a circle. Seeing Jiao Lizhi nod again, Jin Xuyan said, "We’re leaving now."

A soft blue light enveloped them. In the next instant, everyone disappeared from the living room.
