Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4594: Luminous Rage Shard Region

Chapter 4594: Luminous Rage Shard Region

Davis’s karmic eyes only lasted two seconds. He activated it before comprehending the general direction in which Shirley was before he turned it off.

The Death God Eyes and Karmic Sight were two different techniques he utilized. At first, he needed to use Fallen Heaven, but now, there was no need since, after many uses, he instinctively knew how to use it. It was as though they were a part of his soul, no different than feeling the hairs on the arm or realizing that he was breathing after it was being mentioned.

He could just activate these mystic ocular techniques with just a thought.

Naturally, he knew there was a great difference between the ocular techniques using his energy and using Fallen Heaven’s energy. It went without saying that he could see more using the latter.

From a distance, all kinds of these strange mystical creatures turned to look at him. It was as though he had suddenly appeared in their senses or vision, attracting their attention. However, they soon stopped paying attention to him.

Davis was looking at them, but he was no longer using his karmic sight.

He felt like he was starting to understand how these mystical creatures worked. However, he didn’t want to try anything at this point. The danger they could bring was extreme and unknown.

He raised his hand and pinched his forehead as though rubbing it before opening his mouth.

"We’ll leave in this direction. I doubt we’ll encounter much danger here, so I’ll sleep. Wake me up if something happens."

"Alright." The ladies echoed.

Davis summoned a flying boat, and Nadia rushed out of his soul sea. They boarded the flying boat and headed in the direction in which he located Shirley’s karmic thread.

He made himself comfortable on Myria’s lap and slept.

Myria caressed his head with fondness, her fingers brushing against her hair while the others giggled.

They had no complaints since they knew he would have exhausted his psyche after actively controlling the Eternal Eclipse Bird. The most important thing was that he was also starting to rely on them after they continuously disobeyed and proved themselves, so they were more than happy to just haul him to Shirley just like this.

After Davis set the direction, they just didn’t go straight.

They also had the map of the Luminous Rage Shard Region. If a big obstacle appeared, they would know how to navigate.

Isabella was at the helm like a captain of the ship as she held the map and assessed the environment with a clear gaze.

The flying boat sliced through the blazing lands, weaving past jolting flares that burst like miniature suns. Below, the earth was a mosaic of molten rivers snaking between jagged plains, their edges glowing a dim orange as if perpetually on the verge of eruption.

In the distance, geysers of fire bloomed and radiant light erupted at irregular intervals, their arcs glimmering before fading into drifting motes that scattered like dying stars. It was like they were nearby a star that was going to explode.

Farther ahead, the scenery shifted. Valleys of scorched glass stretched for miles, their smooth surfaces reflecting the skies in fractured brilliance. Each gust of heated wind carried shimmering waves that distorted vision, making the lands appear as though they rippled and breathed.

Above those lands, enormous shards of crystallized radiance hovered in defiance of gravity, casting fragmented beams across the terrain like the broken gaze of a giant deity.

It wasn’t hot inside the flying boat, but outside, the scorching temperatures could make them sweat, and the resplendent light could blind their eyes. Naturally, Isabella and Myria wouldn’t have any trouble, but Tia, whose prowess was still low, would be affected.

And the deeper they went into these flaming and radiant phenomena, the more they would feel like their throats were burning and their visions blurring.

Similar to the Wrathful Aeons Shard Region, the Luminous Rage Shard Region was also a hostile and dangerous Shard Region. They were perfectly aware that there were places that even Peak-Level Empyreans would find it hard to traverse or even make it out alive.

"It’s a pity that we couldn’t bring the Eternal Eclipse Bird inside even though it’s just a carcass now, no different than a resource." Tia pursed her lips in disappointment.

If the Eternal Eclipse Bird could be brought here, she was of the idea that they wouldn’t need to suffer these scorching temperatures or the blinding light.

Myria answered as she still kept caressing Davis’s head whenever he showed some movement, "An undead lifeform is still a living lifeform. If it’s spiritually mature, then it could even produce a Ghost Will. This dimension can’t be fooled easily. That is why the resources don’t have any spirits within them. They are suppressed from the moment they appear. Even in the Shard Continent, there were still no signs of spirits in herbs and materials. Hence, they could grow up to Primarch Grade and reach the very limit of their maturity. The dense heaven and earth energy in the atmosphere and the millions and billions of years that pass by make sure of that."

"Makes sense." Tia and Isabella nodded.

The latter squinted her eyes as she looked ahead, careful not to head into some blinding region. Or they might get lost.

Their flying boat passed over a series of deep ravines that glowed from within.

Rivers of condensed light ran along the cracks, glowing streams coursing through the land like veins of a living world. Occasionally, tongues of flame leapt from those depths, explosive but silent, licking the air before vanishing into misty sparks. The light from below bathed the underside of the boat in a subtle, otherworldly glow as it continued on its silent course.

Mountains followed, titanic peaks crowned with halos of fire and lightning, their slopes slick with obsidian and scattered patches of crystallized ash.

Some peaks had split entirely, hollowed out by explosions so violent that even now, arcs of pale-gold energy shimmered faintly inside those caverns like a dying heart refusing to extinguish. Further still, ridges shaped like colossal spines rose from the ground, stretching for leagues until they vanished into the distance, casting elongated shadows that crawled across the blazing lands.

Isabella surmised that the region undoubtedly held valuable ores for mining. They had a lot of Primarch Grade ingredients but very few ores.

However, mining them would definitely take time.

If they were to do it by themselves, it was going to take years. Then again, how could Immortal Emperors mine Primarch Grade ores? Not even Davis was capable of it.

This left her sighing gently. It was simply more effective to search for and collect ores that had naturally fallen from their original locations due to years of erosion. That way, they could harvest some.

She marked this place on the map and silently continued forward into a valley.
