Chapter 600: Conclusion
Chapter 600: Conclusion
Magma swallowed the lower half of the arena.
Purple-gold meteors screamed down from above.
The spatial barrier trembled so violently that even the spectators felt the distortion in their bones.
Natalia raised both arms.
Her remaining instruments multiplied again, but this time the formation was unstable. The rain of meteors detonated against layered harmonics, each impact splintering sound-waves and sending shards of resonance scattering like broken glass.
One meteor slipped through.
It exploded against her flank.
She spun violently through the air, coat torn further, blood flickering before golden sound sealed it again.
Above, Kayla carved through a descending inferno, branch extensions rotating in tight arcs as decay energy stripped flame of its vitality. But Eggplant Shit had shifted again. His violet fire darkened, turning denser, heavier, laced with gravitational compression.
He clapped both hands.
The meteors stopped mid-fall.
Then reversed direction.
They shot upward.
Kayla’s eyes widened behind her visor.
She crossed her arms and summoned a bloom-shield, layered bark-metal and luminous sap weaving together just as the inverted meteor storm collided with her.
The explosion tore a massive crater through the sky itself.
Her figure vanished in smoke and ember.
Volcanic Dogshit took that moment.
He surged upward through his own eruption, magma wings expanding to their full span. He clasped his fists together and brought them down toward Natalia with crushing force.
She met the strike with a harmonic barrier—
It shattered instantly.
The impact drove her downward like a comet, slamming her into the molten arena floor.
The crowd gasped.
"She’s losing altitude—!"
Below, Almond’s jaw tightened slightly, but he did not move.
Inside the crater, Natalia forced herself up.
Her instruments flickered, fewer now, smaller. The once grand formation was compressed into tight defensive nodes orbiting her shoulders and back.
Volcanic Dogshit landed heavily before her.
"You’re strong," he admitted. "But you’re still Tier-4."
He stomped.
The ground beneath her liquefied and then detonated upward in a pillar of magma that engulfed her entirely.
Above, Kayla burst from the smoke cloud, armor scorched, mantle thinning. One branch-extension was cracked nearly through, sap-like energy leaking in faint pulses.
Eggplant Shit appeared behind her.
A four-pointed sigil ignited across his chest.
Purple-gold fire condensed around him until it resembled a miniature dying star.
"You two pushed us," he said quietly. "But this is the gap."
He thrust both hands forward.
A beam of condensed stellar flame tore through the air and struck Kayla point-blank.
Her bloom-shield lasted less than a second.
She was hurled across the arena, smashing through a half-formed magma pillar before crashing hard against the boundary barrier.
The barrier flared violently.
Below, murmurs rose.
"They’re about to fall—"
"This is Tier-10 output."
"They can’t sustain that much longer."
Natalia erupted from the magma column in a surge of blinding resonance, forcing Volcanic Dogshit back with a violent shockwave. But her movement was slower now. The timing of her rhythm is slightly off.
Volcanic Dogshit noticed.
He smiled.
"Your tempo slipped."
He launched forward.
They clashed mid-air.
Fist against sonic shield.
Shield cracked.
His second strike broke through.
The blow landed squarely against her ribs and sent her spiraling across the battlefield.
Her instruments scattered like falling stars.
Above, Kayla forced herself upright against the barrier.
Her breathing heavily.
Her armor dimmed.
Eggplant Shit descended slowly, flames coiling around him in lazy spirals.
"Stay down."
She didn’t.
But when she tried to summon another forest, only sparse moss crept along the air before withering instantly under the oppressive heat.
Her bloom-decay cycle was destabilized.
Volcanic Dogshit grabbed Natalia mid-flight by the throat.
His magma aura surged brighter.
Eggplant Shit formed a second stellar sigil above Kayla.
The two brothers looked at each other.
Nodded.
Simultaneous execution.
Volcanic Dogshit lifted Natalia higher, molten pressure compressing around her.
Eggplant Shit’s star-beam began condensing to catastrophic density, aimed straight at Kayla’s chest.
The arena lights dimmed under the gathering energy.
Spectators fell silent.
"They’re done," someone whispered.
But through the chaos.
Kayla’s visor flickered once.
Then again.
Her cracked branch-extension twitched faintly.
Not toward the enemy.
Downward.
Into the molten, ash-choked battlefield.
Deep beneath the surface, something pulsed.
Subtle.
Hidden.
Earlier, when the forest first burned.
When decay swallowed magma.
When Bloom returned through ash.
She had not simply been defending.
She had been planting.
Tiny root-seeds.
Invisible to the eye.
Buried in molten cracks and beneath layers of volcanic debris.
Now, as both brothers prepared their finishing strikes, those buried seeds began to glow faintly.
Far below the arena floor.
Natalia’s eyes, mid-strangle, flicked downward for the briefest second.
She saw it.
Understood.
Her lips curved slightly despite the magma tightening around her throat.
The stellar beam reached full charge.
Volcanic Dogshit raised his fist for the final crush.
The arena had gone unnaturally quiet.
Even the floating platforms of spectators seemed to hover without movement, as if the entire entertainment district had collectively forgotten how to breathe.
Volcanic Dogshit held Natalia suspended in one molten grip, magma compressing around her throat in tightening rings. His other fist drew back, magma spiraling inward to form a dense volcanic core.
Across the arena, Eggplant Shit hovered with both arms extended, the purple-gold stellar sigil above his palms blazing brighter than before. The air around it bent inward, light curving toward its center.
Below, voices rose in frantic bursts.
"They’re finished!"
"That’s Tier-10 output!"
"No Tier-4 survives that!"
"Shut up and watch!"
Ainen leaned forward slightly, eyes sharp.
"She planted something."
Saffa blinked. "Planted?"
Almond said nothing, but his gaze had already shifted downward.
Beneath the molten, fractured battlefield, far below the visible layer, faint green lines began threading through cracks like veins awakening under dead skin.
Above, Eggplant Shit thrust forward.
The stellar beam detonated.
A column of condensed purple-gold fire tore across the arena toward Kayla with catastrophic velocity.
At the same instant, Volcanic Dogshit brought his magma-forged fist down toward Natalia’s skull.
Time seemed to narrow.
Kayla did not raise a shield.
She did not dodge.
Instead, she pressed her palm lightly to the air.
And whispered,
"Bloom."
The entire arena floor exploded.
Not outward.
Upward.
Roots burst through molten rock in a violent eruption, not fragile vines but colossal biomechanical pillars of blackened wood and glowing sap. The magma beneath the battlefield was devoured instantly, siphoned through thousands of hidden root-seeds that had been spreading silently since the fight began.
The stellar beam struck Kayla and was swallowed.
Not blocked.
Swallowed.
The roots beneath her flared gold-green, absorbing the energy through a massive underground network that had already spread across the entire arena.
The purple-gold star above Eggplant Shit flickered violently.
"Impossible!"
Volcanic Dogshit’s descending fist froze mid-motion.
The magma in his arm dimmed.
Below his feet, the molten floor solidified into brittle obsidian.
Then withered.
Then bloomed.
Gigantic roots erupted around him, coiling up his legs in spirals of bark-metal and luminous decay. They did not burn. They fed.
Natalia’s eyes snapped open.
The magma crushing her throat flickered.
She drove her elbow downward.
The weakened grip shattered.
She flipped backward mid-air as Kayla’s underground network pulsed again.
The absorbed stellar beam reversed direction.
A golden-green surge of life-death energy erupted upward through the roots, splitting into two streams.
One struck Eggplant Shit directly in the chest.
The other surged into Natalia.
Her instruments reignited in an instant.
Not dozens.
Not hundreds.
Thousands.
The sky filled with them—harps, drums, violins, horns, pipes—an overwhelming symphony manifesting at once.
Eggplant Shit screamed as the reversed stellar energy detonated against his torso, cracking his crystalline aura and blasting him backward through three layers of barrier before he stabilized, visibly shaken.
Volcanic Dogshit roared and tried to ignite a full eruption.
But the roots around him pulsed again, draining the thermal core of his magma reserves. Steam erupted from his body as the heat was siphoned away and converted into luminous sap.
Natalia rose higher.
Her baton reformed in her grasp, brighter than before.
"You fight with force," she said calmly.
Kayla lifted both arms.
"And we fight with cycles."
The underground root-network ignited fully now, visible through cracks in the arena floor. A massive circular pattern had formed beneath all four combatants—an intricate life-death sigil woven silently during the chaos of battle.
Eggplant Shit tried to rise.
A forest of blackened vines erupted mid-air and wrapped around him, draining the last of his stellar fire before it could reform.
Volcanic Dogshit shattered two of the root coils and lunged toward Natalia.
Too late.
She brought the baton down.
The entire sky became music.
A colossal harmonic array formed above the battlefield, layered frequencies aligning perfectly with the pulse of Kayla’s root network below.
Top and bottom.
Sound and growth.
Resonance and decay.
They connected.
A vertical column of white-gold and emerald energy descended from the sky and surged upward from the ground simultaneously, converging on the two brothers at the center.
The impact was absolute.
No explosion.
No chaotic blast.
Just overwhelming synchronization.
Their magma cracked.
Their flame flickered.
Their energy destabilized under the harmonic interference and life-drain feedback loop.
Volcanic Dogshit fell first.
His molten aura extinguished entirely as the roots constricted and pinned him to the ground.
Eggplant Shit followed moments later, the last of his purple-gold flame shattering into harmless sparks as the harmonic column compressed inward.
Silence.
Then.
The arena barrier flared.
[Tie-Breaker Concluded.]
[Winners: Party A.]
For one suspended second, the entire entertainment district remained still.
Then—
The club erupted.
Cheers exploded across floating platforms.
People leapt into the air.
Shock turned to disbelief, disbelief to wild exhilaration.
"They beat two Tier-10s!"
"Tier-4s did that!"
"That underground setup. She planned that the whole time!"
"Those decks are insane!"
Below, Ainen laughed loudly.
Saffa punched the air.
Clovelle allowed herself a rare, satisfied grin.
Almond’s lips curved faintly.
Lily beamed.
Above, the roots slowly withdrew, dissolving into drifting green motes. Natalia descended beside Kayla, slightly bruised, slightly burned, but standing.
Kayla’s armor flickered once before stabilizing.
They looked at each other.
No dramatic speech.
Just shared understanding.
The bet.
They Won.
Volcanic Dogshit coughed molten ash as the arena’s suppressive field locked around him and his brother, preventing further aggression.
All five brothers were bound by the rules of the bet.
Natalia looked down at them and tilted her head slightly.
"Live stream this," she said coolly. "We are going to hold a special event featuring these five pieces of shit."
The crowd roared again.
From the pavilion café below, unseen by them still, Almond and Lily watched with quiet pride as they smiled.
"Well then, shall we go surprise them?" Ainen grinned at the duo. "You two hide with your stealth effects. I have an idea to prank her."
Almond chuckled. "Well then, it’s time to prank the prankster."
Lily grinned. "That’s going to be fun."
