Chapter 621: The Airhead Twins, Lyria And Miria. Part-1.
*BOOOOOOM!!!!!*
*CRACK!!* *SHATTTERRR!!!*
The moment Kai used the influence of his ’World Authority’ to simulate a partial judgement on the demon, the ’Law’ of ’Judgement’ immediately deemed the demon guilty.
Not for any crime or anything at all, the ’law’ of the ’world’ didn’t even bother looking at the threads of fate to understand whether the demon was guilty or not.
It threw a massive and powerful beam of heavenly punishment onto the demon just because he was a ’demon.’
Demons are considered a ’cancer’ by the ’laws’ of this ’world,’ and to them anything associated with miasma or the ’law’ of ’miasma and corruption’ is simply unacceptable!
Their very existence is loathed, and no matter how good a demon might be in person, the ’laws’ of the ’world’ will always judge them guilty just for existing in this world.
Kai already knew this beforehand, and being his summoner, Lia had known about this for a long time.
It’s just that she couldn’t use this power to her advantage until now.
Only recently, after the Ascension Spire incident, did Lia reach a half-step into rank S and become capable of shouldering this burden.
Making the power of a ’law’ of the ’world’ manifest is no small matter; just by shouldering this burden, Lia would have been completely blown apart from inside out if it was her from a few months ago.
But after fighting in the ascension spire with Alverto, Lia learned a lot and managed to gain immense mastery over her skills, just like everyone else did.
Cooperation of these various factors made her capable of doing what she had done today.
[Ding! You have accomplished an incredible feat!]
[Ding! You have become one of the few people in the universe who have managed to call upon heavenly punishment with their own power!]
[Ding! You have gained immense affinity with the ’Law’ of ’Cosmic Order and Judgement’!]
[Ding! You have walked a step further on your ’Path’ and have achieved better understanding of your ’self’.]
[Ding! All your spirit magic-related abilities have received a major boost!]
Killing the demon was not just a show of power and force; it was a way for Lia to establish a better connection with her powers and get a better understanding of her own ’Path.’
The powerful heavenly judgement literally shattered the space-time fabric and nearly destabilized the entire S-rank dungeon, but thankfully it disappeared right away and didn’t actually end up destroying the dungeon.
If that had happened, Lia would have been ejected out of the dungeon, and her training mission would have ended prematurely.
The spatial cracks literally erased the demon from existence and as they started to slowly close on their own, Lia suddenly spoke,
"Oh wait! I was going to interrogate that demon for information!"
Only then did Lia remember that she was fighting not for winning but for extracting information out of that demon!
[Forget that demon; we have a much better way of getting information. Look behind you...]
[The fellows you saved are here...]
Hearing Kai’s words, Lia felt confused; she couldn’t sense any presence behind her at all with her spiritual sense, but trusting him, she turned back.
And to her surprise there were two small flying creatures the size of an adult human’s palm flying towards her.
Their body shape was like elves, just in a miniature size, and they both looked very cute and beautiful; also, they had two pairs of wings behind their backs!
Seeing them, Lia immediately connected the dots and uttered a word in disbelief.
"Elemental Fairies!?"
Fairies, the legendary creatures that had gone extinct in the outside world due to being hunted down by demons and various other hostile races and creatures, were right in front of Lia now.
According to what Lia has learned in her academy days, in today’s world, fairies live in a separate space called the ’Fairyland,’ which is currently under the protection of the dragon valley.
The only way to enter the ’Fairyland’ and meet with fairies in today’s world is to first go to the Dragon Valley and then get permission from the Dragon King.
And then go there through strictly controlled entrance portals located in hidden locations of the Dragon Valley.
According to popular belief, there were also some greedy humans in past times that had contributed to the extinction of the fairy race from the outside world.
And since all that happened after the thousand-year war when King Allen and Astra were long gone, no powerful people managed to stop this massacre.
Fairies were not part of the world alliance, and the world was still recovering from a millennium of war; lack of resources was a prominent cause of trouble.
No race wanted to share their resources with others; everyone in the world alliance was a competitor for resources, and adding one more race to this list was not beneficial for anyone at all.
Demons took advantage of the decentralized and weakened world alliance after King Allen left and caused major casualties, completely destroying the habitat of the fairy race.
In the end, Dragons came forward and granted the fairy race asylum in their own territories.
Since then, be it human, elf, or any other race, no one is allowed to even come in contact with the fairy race, and it’s near impossible for the dragon king to grant access to anyone to the entrance of ’Fairyland.’
Thus, the world hasn’t come in contact with fairies for centuries now, and Lia only saw and read about them from books.
This was the first time Lia was seeing real fairies for the first time in her life!
While Lia was in a dazed state, the two cute little fellows flew towards her and looked at her with their big watery eyes and spoke with a happy voice.
"Thank you for saving us! Thank you for saving Miria and Lyria from that demon!"
Before Lia could even reply, the two little fellows bowed to her and spoke.
"Lyria and Miria greet you, Ms. Royal Fairy. We are glad that a powerful noble one such as you came to save us in person!"
Lyria and Miria’s words made Lia feel confused; she had no idea why they were mistaking her for a fairy.
[Kiddo... you literally have the same wings as them growing out of your back... if you get yourself miniaturized... others will mistake you for a fairy in armour!]
Only after hearing Kai’s words did Lia remember that she also had similar fairy-like wings!
She hadn’t deliberately made them in such a shape; it was just that those wings of light were very good at enhancing her speed and mobility, thus she never changed their default shape.
She had never even thought in her dreams that someday she would end up meeting real fairies, and they would mistake her for a fellow member of the same race after seeing her wings!
’I didn’t expect that one day I will also become a fairy... I am so big in size compared to them... how are they able to make such an obvious mistake...’
’Don’t tell me that what those history books said about fairies is really true... are they really such ’Airheads’?... it can’t be right?’
