Chapter 630: To The Temple Of Nature! Part-5.
Chapter 630: To The Temple Of Nature! Part-5.
After praying to the Grand Atlas of the universe, Lyria and Miria led Lia to a side corridor through the main hall of the temple.
The side corridor led deeper into the temple in a more deserted area.
Neutron stars, quasars, black holes, dust clouds, etc. all kinds of celestial bodies were engraved into the walls of the entire corridor with amazing details and polishing.
It was definitely the work of a master craftsman.
’Even though I don’t know much about art and murals... all these looks so beautiful... I had no idea that fairies were such good architects too...’
[No... this is likely not created by fairies...]
[Fairies aren’t the type to create buildings or even small huts by themselves; they don’t even have homes, let alone creating a temple by themselves...]
Hearing those words from Kai, Lia felt a bit confused.
’Then how did they make this temple... that’s contradictory...’
[As far as I know, Fairies don’t have the ability to created these intricate structures... but at one point in time, fairies were the race that had the most number of legendary artifacts in the world...]
[This Temple could also be a creation of some legendary artifact... or maybe it’s a direct ’blessing’ from the ’world’ itself...]
The more Kai explained, the more confusing the matter became.
’A direct ’blessing’ from the ’world’? The ’World’ even gives legendary artifacts and pre-made buildings as its ’blessing’?
’This is the first time I have heart about something like that...’
Hearing Lia’s words, Kai sneered and replied in a calm voice,
[You don’t really think that Fairies are idiots who pray to the ’World’ just because of their faith, right?]
[The ’World’ favours the fairy race a lot; you can see it from the fact that even if you destroy all fairies in the world, new ones can be born out of nowhere just from natural phenomena and shifts in elemental densities...]
[No other race is born as bizarrely as the fairies; even demons have a proper life cycle, you know!]
Kai raised his cat head and looked at Miria and Lyria leading the way before saying,
[Just like back then when the ’World’ itself came forward to bless and protect ’Riya’ when she awakened her legendary skill... the world gives its blessings to fairies quite frequently...]
[In those long-gone times, you can say that fairies were the richest, as they were frequently bestowed powerful legendary artifacts by the ’world’ itself...]
’No wonder so many races persecuted them... they were all jealous of how rich and prosperous the fairies were...’
Thinking so far, Lia sighed to herself as she thought in her mind,
’The thousand-year war, the orc war, the constant struggles between races and the destruction of the maya continent... It was always about resources...’
Mana crystals, dungeon-related items, land, seas, and powerful artifacts, they are all resources that have always been the major causes of wars in the world.
In some cases, even people are treated as resources, like in the Orc War.
The thousand-year demon extinction war happened because demons wanted to take over the entire world and make everyone a sl*ve of miasma.
The world alliance, on the other hand, didn’t want to give even an inch of their land and their resources; thus, the war kept going and going until one side was completely defeated and almost brought to the verge of extinction.
Similarly, the fifty-year Orc War happened because Orcs wanted the resources of the human empire, and humans didn’t agree with it.
Since time immemorial, every war and conflict has always been either directly or indirectly caused because of resources.
"We are here! This is the Garden of Knowledge; Nova teaches others and imparts knowledge about the world to other fairies here regularly!"
"It’s still day, so she must be here right now!"
Lyria and Miria’s words brought Lia back to reality, and she noticed that once the long corridor came to an end, they arrived at a medium-sized room that seemed like an indoor greenhouse!
There were various plants and herbs planted on the ground and in various pots; Lia even saw those rare ’Black Roses’ that were Rio’s favorite flowers in that greenhouse. (Referring to ch-220.)
The refreshing scent of the various flowers and herbs made Lia feel happy from the bottom of her heart.
Following the twin fairies’ lead, the group reached the center of the greenhouse, where a young girl around 10 years old with brownish-green hair was sitting on a bench.
And a little fairy with pure white hair was sitting on top of her small head and lecturing the little girl about something.
"Bela! I told you last time not to learn from those mischievous little fellows and go to the forests! You sneaked out with those fellows last morning, didn’t you!"
Hearing the fairy scolding her, the little girl dropped her shoulders and spoke in a quiet voice.
"B-but teacher... I-I just..."
Before the little girl could say anything, the fairy immediately reprimanded her.
"No ’but’ or ’if’! If I catch you doing mischief like that again, you are not getting any more apples to eat!"
The little Bela was frightened by the ultimatum, and her shoulders dropped even further in sadness after being reprimanded like that.
"Look! Nova is bullying Bela again today!"
"Hehe~ Ever since Bela came to Kenorland, Nova has been bullying her~"
"Booo~ Granny Nova has gone senile again~ Booo~"
Hearing Lyria and Miria’s words, Nova, the white-haired fairy, immediately brought out a small stick hidden in her sleeves.
"You are here Lyria and Miria... I was just waiting for you two troublemakers to come back..."
"Granny, Old had, senile... heh! Today I will show you two brats what it means to offend this lady!"
Seeing Nova fly towards them while holding a stick in her hand, Lyria and Miria immediately started running around to dodge.
"Run! The senile granny has gone mad!"
"Run, run! Granny Nova forgot her medicine today and is going on a rampage!"
The twin’s words only made Nova angrier as she shouted back,
"Once I get my hands on you brats, I am going to show you what it really means to offend this senile granny!"
Seeing the chaos, Lia felt helpless and couldn’t find words to speak.
