Chapter 701: A Lost ’Traveler’ in a Forgotten World. Part-3.

*Drip!* *Drop!* *Drip!*

The sound of water droplets falling on a rocky surface echoes in the dark and damp belly of a deep underground cave.

"Hmm?... Did I forget to close some tap?..."

A young man with light brownish hair and scars all over his body slowly opened his eyes in tiredness as he looked around in confusion.

"W-where... is this place?"

His body ached all over as it was covered in wounds that seemed to have only barely managed to stop bleeding.

His clothes were horribly torn apart as if an explosion had blown them up; he was covered in dust and in a very bad mental state; even his eyes felt like they were burning and refusing to open properly.

This young man stuck in a miserable state was none other than Fade Crest, the former child of heavens!

"I-is this... some crudely made underground jail?... Those half-orc warriors that I saw before... they brought me here?"

Thinking about this matter, Fade felt helpless.

Not only was he now in a very weakened state, he had no equipment, and he was now even stuck inside a confinement cell of some random Half-Orc tribe.

"Am I inside the Orc Nation? How did I even get here..."

Orcs are a violence-loving race, and thus, unless it’s for spreading violence, they are not seen anywhere else in the world but in the Orc nation only!

It’s mainly because most nations do not let them enter their borders and keep a strict policy of never letting a single orc pass through the border.

Although this kind of thinking and strict regulations were almost akin to being racist against Orcs, the Orc race was just too violent for anybody’s liking.

If not for the fact that Orcs were great fighters and had helped a lot against the demon armies during the thousand-year war, many races would have banded up together to wipe out Orcs from this planet to get rid of problematic individuals like them.

Orcs enjoy killing and eating people from almost all races, and humans are in fact their favorite snack!

They even have insanely detailed recipes on how to cook humans alive and season their meat with exotic spices and herbs.

Getting caught by half-orcs was like a nightmare come true, and Fade feared that he was likely being ’stored’ in here as a food ingredient for those half-orc people, and they were going to eat him sooner or later!

"N-no... I-I can’t die here... I-I can’t die like that... n-no..."

As the realization that he might get slaughtered like a pig hit Fade slowly, he started to panic and look around frantically in hope of finding some kind of escape route.

But unfortunately for him, he was stuck inside a small cavity of the underground cave, and his only way out was sealed with a giant door made up of magically enchanted iron bars!

Even the walls were enchanted with powerful defensive magic, so it was pointless to try to break through them and escape.

Fade was stuck like a rat inside a rat trap and had nowhere to go but sit there for his inevitable fate to come to him itself.

The walls of the cell were covered in bloody scratch marks, likely made by someone who went insane from fear and injured his fingers and nails in a desperate attempt to somehow grab onto some weak spot on the wall and dig their way through it.

But with how sturdy these walls were, it was clear that whoever had made these desperate attempts never succeeded.

There were several humanoid skulls and bones hanging from the ceiling like decorations, almost as if they were placed there on purpose to show the person confined in the cell what their fate would be like sooner or later.

"Noo... n-no... I-I don’t want to die... I don’t want to die..."

Tears appeared in Fade’s eyes as fear took over his mind.

In desperation, he walked over to the metal bars and tried to see if there was something outside or nearby that could be used to save his life, but to his dismay, there was literally nothing outside.

There were no guards, there were no other cells in sight, and it was an empty, dark, and damp cave with strange ancient ruins like walls and weird damaged carvings on the walls everywhere.

The ceiling was dripping water one drop at a time, making the atmosphere of the place even more horrible.

*Step* *Step*

Just when Fade was getting more and more desperate, the sound of footsteps echoed in the underground cave loudly.

With shock and fear plastered all over his face, Fade realized that those footsteps were getting closer and closer with each passing moment!

In fear, Fade retreated to a corner of the cell in a desperate attempt to hide himself from whatever was coming, but his attempts were obviously futile.

A five-meter-tall and burly half-orc that was radiating an insanely powerful aura walked over and stopped right in front of Fade’s cell.

Fade felt horrified as he could already sense from the aura of this half-orc that this creature was definitely very strong.

"A-a p-peak S ranker... n-no.. no... it can’t be... it can’t be..."

Realizing that the half-orc was hundreds of times stronger than his current self, despair took over Fade’s already fragile heart as he understood that there was no chance of him ever escaping from the grasp of such a powerful being in normal circumstances!

Just like a pig being sent to a butcher, his fate seemed inevitable, and he was powerless to do anything against it!

Before Fade could react, a powerful telekinesis took control over Fade’s small body and dragged him out of the cell with immense force!

Fade’s face was pushed straight on the ground as he was forced to kneel down.

*Step* *Step*

At that moment another set of footsteps rang out in the cave as an old-looking orc that was very short in size walked over in front of Fade.

"kero reo kereo rekoro..."

Fade could not understand what the other party was saying, but he knew that the old orc was saying something to the S-rank orc.

To his surprise, the massive orc nodded his head at the words of the old fragile-looking orc like an obedient subordinate.
