Chapter 711: To The Beast Archipelago! Part-1.

Somewhere in a hidden underground facility.

A group of individuals walked out of a portal one by one.

Leading the group at the forefront was Ashtel Rex, the strongest man on the planet; behind him were Rio and Link, who were both following the man without much thought in their heads.

And right behind the three were Lia and Riya, who were chatting with each other enthusiastically.

"Recently there’s been a lot of cosplayers who are cosplaying as Link all over the internet... Sigh, I sometimes feel that Link is too popular, and all of those cosplayers have a habit of doing shirtless cosplays!"

"That’s so ridiculous! Link never does that! He likes dressing elegantly! They don’t even know how to do cosplays properly..."

Hearing Riya’s words, Lia crossed her arms around her chest as she nodded her head in understanding.

"Yeah, I get you; back when Rio first became S-ranker and got rewarded for helping save the world, people were going crazy about him too..."

"Thankfully those cosplayers and those plush-making companies can’t accurately capture the real nature of him, or I would have had to fight them for all of their products and ban them from selling them to anybody else!"

Riya tossed a candy in her mouth as she nodded at Lia’s words.

"Exactly! Those cosplayers are nothing compared to the real Link! Hmph! Those cheap copies!"

While the girls were busy debating about the topic of having their boyfriend all to themselves and how to ban those companies trying to make profits off of their boyfriend’s popularity,

Rio and Link were completely nonchalant, and they both didn’t even seem to bother about it all.

"I am always amazed at how many secrets bases your family has in the nation... you guys have enough secret weaponry and equipment that you can actually form an entire army of your own..."

"The Rex Family is crazy rich..."

Hearing Rio’s words, Link shrugged his shoulders as he said,

"It’s actually mostly my father’s hard work; he’s been the strongest of the nation for decades and has hundreds of private companies working under him in various fields..."

"Aside from being a powerful individual, he’s also a great businessman; before him, the Rex family was actually on the verge of bankruptcy at one point in time..."

"He’s the one who created this massive business empire from scratch..."

At those words, Rio wasn’t even surprised anymore, as he already knew that Ashtel Rex was a monster in human skin and his capabilities were too many to even count.

’Sometimes I feel that he’s more suitable to be the MC than the actual Mc Fade or even the world’s chosen Link...’

’Well, his backstory is just as complicated and thrilling as an actual MC, so I wonder if he was actually supposed to be on the list of the people that the ’world’ chose to be its favored at some point...’

Rio shook his head as he spoke.

"Having a father like him who is so so great and awe-inspiring sounds like a very tough job... If I had a father like that, I would be buried under the sense of responsibilities and feel like I am not worthy of being his son..."

"Thankfully you have skin thicker than city walls, which lets you withstand the pressure..."

Hearing Rio’s words, Link rolled his eyes as he put his hands behind his neck and walked in a slightly backward-bent posture.

"You might not believe it but I actually doubt myself a lot too; I always think whether I will be able to become someone as great as him one day or not..."

"Whether I will someday achieve something that will make so that people will stop recognizing me by ’Ashtel Rex’s son’ and would recognize me by ’Link Rex’ alone instead..."

"For kids that have famous parents, it’s really important to make a name for themselves or we will never be able to get out of parents’ shadow..."

Link sighed as he looked at Ashtel’s wide back leading them forward.

"It’s not just about the name and fame though... He’s more of ’Guardian’ and ’Protector’ of this nation type of person and his very existence symbolizes that... I don’t know if I can do that though..."

"I will have to figure it out slowly in the future..."

At those words, Rio rolled his eyes as he took a deep breath and spoke,

"Honestly speaking, having parents that are too famous sounds like a pain in the a*s to me..."

At Rio’s words, Link burst out laughing.

"Bahahah!! Exactly! You got me there! Hahaha!!! Man, despite being a rather expressionless person, you are always so good at cracking jokes! Hahah!!"

Ashtel, who was leading the group forward, shook his head in disappointment.

"Kids these days...sigh..."

"I can hear you two badmouthing me behind my back, you know! Can you two at least wait for me to leave before you start badmouthing me?"

Ashtel smirked as he suddenly thought of something as he spoke.

"By the way, do you know that when Link was ten years old, he still used to wet his bed! BAHAHAHAH!!!!"

Link’s face became red from embarrassment from those words.

"That’s just bullsh*t! Don’t listen to him, Rio; he’s just taking revenge on us for talking about him behind his back..."

Link hurriedly covered Rio’s ears in a failed attempt to stop him from listening to Link’s embarrassing dark history, but it was pointless.

Once Ashtel started talking about Link and his own past, he just couldn’t stop and spilled a ton of beans right in front of Rio and everyone else.

By the time the group finally reached the private short-range travel spaceship hangar, Link almost fainted from embarrassment.

Ignoring Link, who was sulking, and having Riya pat him to calm him down, Rio looked at the massive spaceship hangar and realized that he had still underestimated the sheer wealth of the Rex family!

In this one hidden underground facility, there were already hundreds of private spaceships parked, and there were hundreds of thousands of people and robots constantly doing maintenance work on them.

Even a single short-range private spaceship parked in this hangar here is worth as much as Rio’s entire wealth that he’s earned from his one year of revenue through those various merchandise-making companies.

And the most insane fact is that the Rex family has hundreds of such hidden facilities that include not only spaceship hangars but also underground research labs, productions hubs, robot and AI cities, etc.

The wealth of the Rex family is simply unfathomable in the eyes of an ordinary person!
