Chapter 712: To The Beast Archipelago! Part-2.

But of course, to Rio, all this wealth meant pretty much nothing.

Every person in the world has a different goal and a different dream in their mind, and everyone has different values for themselves.

To many people, the wealth of the Rex family might be a great source of envy and admiration, but for Rio, money was just a bunch of pointless numbers at this point.

If Rio ever wanted money, he could just go back to the spirit realm, grab any random rock or even a handful of sand from there, and sell it outside for an insane price to get rich.

Not even SS-rankers dare go inside that place, and thus every resource there is an ultra-rare item; even if it’s just a handful of soil, it would still sell for millions.

Aside from the spirit realm, Rio himself can create ’miasma crystals.’

Nowadays, with such precision and such concentration that it’s almost near impossible to find a miasma crystal of the same quality anywhere else in the world except for in the deep depths of the spirit realm or near the sea of miasma.

Every single one of those crystals is precious and rare enough for the scientists and researchers of the entire world to start fighting over it, and thus, its value is simply incalculable.

And finally, there’s the massive fame of his that brings him a tremendous passive income through various merchandise companies and other entertainment-related industries.

By now, Rio’s bank account is loaded with millions, and he earns more money every single day than he can spend in a year, which causes it to just keep accumulating more and more.

Although Rio doesn’t have the same wealth as the Rex family, he can indeed become very rich if he wants to; the only thing holding him back is that he isn’t really as much interested in making money as improving his strength.

He already had enough money to live a comfortable and peaceful life, and that was all that mattered to him.

...

"So... we are taking your family’s private spaceship there?... well, it’s a good idea; nobody would dare stop or attack the private vehicle of the world’s strongest man..."

Link nodded his head at Rio’s words and patted the sturdy metallic door of the spaceship.

"This thing here is made for pure stealth and speed; it can get us there in a blink of an eye if we use it at a higher speed, but that compromises stealth, so it’s better to use it at a lower speed..."

"We might get there a bit slower, but it can help us avoid the eyes of most of the unwanted eyes..."

Hearing Link’s words, Lia suddenly asked,

"If we wanted to be stealthy, wouldn’t it have been better if Uncle Ashtel took us there with a portal?"

"The spaceship couldn’t possibly be stealthier than that..."

Hearing Lia’s words, Ashtel, who had just come over after talking to the maintenance staff about some things, replied in his usual calm voice,

"In normal circumstances, using the teleportation portal is indeed the best choice; it can help you maintain secrecy to a very high degree..."

"But things are not as ideal as that right now..."

Ashtel took a deep sigh as he continued in a solemn voice,

"As I told you guys before, the demon king is oddly very active in recent times; many of the association members have been reporting that he’s been moving a lot recently..."

"He even sent a vessel of his to our human empire when you all were trying to revive Liam and Ellie... I am quite sure that fellow is definitely up to something..."

SS-rankers of Ashtel and the demon king’s level are very very strong, and they are extremely sensitive to even minute changes in the flow of mana and miasma of the world.

They can sense spatial fluctuations with extreme precision, which helps them locate dungeon gates with powerful spatial fluctuations much more easily.

And for a portal to be strong enough for it to teleport someone as strong as Ashtel, it would need to create very powerful spatial fluctuations, and it would consume a tremendous amount of energy.

In other words, just like Ashtel and the others can sense if the demon king is moving through his portals, the demon king can also sense the movement of powerful SS-rankers in the alliance!

And if he figured out that Ashtel and many other SS-rankers were gathering in a single place, he would easily realize that the group was holding a meeting and likely conspiring against him.

At that point, he might try to pull some moves at the nations that were less guarded because of their guardians being busy in a meeting.

Nobody wanted to take that risk, so it was better to not use the teleportation portal and just use ordinary transportation methods to directly go to the Beast Archipelago in a much stealthier way.

"And thus, we are going to go as slow as possible and will try to be stealthy..."

Hearing that, Rio suddenly asked,

"Well... if you are trying to be stealthy, how about I coat this ship with miasmic corruption and suppress its spatial and mana fluctuations... that way it would be stealthier..."

Hearing Rio’s suggestion, Ashtel scratched the back of his neck in awkwardness as he replied,

"Well, that is feasible... but sitting inside a spaceship covered in miasma all over..."

"It sounds ominous... the people from the beast archipelago might even misunderstand us for demons at that point..."

Hearing those words, Rio shrugged his shoulder as he spoke.

"For the sake of stealth, you’ve got to sacrifice a bit in terms of looks and appearance; that’s a small cost in my opinion..."

Rio looked at the rest of the group and asked,

"So, what do you guys think? Should I do it?"

To Rio, controlling miasma was as easy as breathing nowadays; he, in fact, kind of liked miasma more than his other elementals just because of how versatile and effective it was.

To others, miasma was a horrible curse, but to Rio, it was just one of the many weird powers in his arsenal.
