"Dipping yourself in the warm onsen water after a long day of work is so refreshing~ It’s a pity that places like this barely exist anywhere in the human empire..."

Hearing Link’s words, Rio leaned his back against the onsen pool’s wall and replied in his usual expressionless voice.

"You can just have them build a custom one for you. The Rex Mansion is so big, you can build it anywhere. Also, you have lack of money so just build a small artificial volcano in your garden and put an onsen around it..."

The Rex mansion was equipped with various space and weather manipulation artifacts that could easily expand the space as much as the user wanted to.

The Rex mansion exists in a completely separated domain of its own, and it looks smaller from outside but can be expanded a lot from inside!

"That seems like a choice you would make indeed... But you gotta have to ask Lia for her preferences too you know. What if she would like to live somewhere else?"

"The main reason why I haven’t yet decided on my new house is also because I wanna find a place that would be to the liking of both of us..."

Hearing those words, Rio nodded his head.

"Yeah, that’s true... If not for Lia, I would actually be living in a small crudely made hut inside the spirit realm and would swim in rivers of miasma every day for fun."

Hearing that, Link gave Rio a weird look and spoke,

"Your idea of fun is quite... ahem, ’unique’... Are you sure that swimming in that coal tar-like substance is a good idea?"

Rio just shrugged his shoulders at that question and replied calmly,

"To me, miasma feels the same like this onsen; it’s warm, comfortable and very useful... It even helps improve physical fitness to some extent by purifying impurities and enhancing physical capabilities..."

"If used right, miasma is like a medicine with extremely potent and powerful effects... you only need to have the ability to withstand its potency, and you would be fine..."

Link could only shake his head at those words bitterly.

"I-I would stick to my lava baths."

"Talking about miasma and all, Riya told me that Raika took Fade hostage in the battle..."

"Didn’t expect that fella to be still alive... What happened to him after you defeated Raika?"

Link was really surprised that despite so much happening, Fade had still managed to survive until this day!

According to the information they knew, Fade’s family died due to Alverto’s subordinates, and he was also kidnapped by Alverto during the Chronos incident.

Everyone thought that Fade had died in the final explosion that destroyed the entire Spire of Ascension building, but to Link’s surprise, the fellow was more tenacious than a cockroach and was actually still alive!

"That fellow is quite pitiful too... first got his family killed, then got used like a tool by Alverto and now even Raika played him like a fool again..."

"I didn’t think that a day would come when I would say this but... I kind of feel that he’s too unlucky, even more so than me, who’s hated by the heavens..."

At Link’s words, Rio’s jaw almost fell on the ground.

’What the f*ck do you mean he’s unlucky!! That motherf*ker is the luckiest fellow in this universe!’

’Despite me looting all of his power-ups and completely shattering his storyline, that fellow could still remain alive!! That’s already an insane feat!’

By now, Rio was fully aware of how powerful his own influence as an ’Anomaly’ was, and the fact that Fade could still remain alive despite so much interference from him meant that he was extremely lucky!

Fade was blessed by heavenly luck to the point that it was unbelievable, and if not for him, it was likely impossible for anyone to have driven Fade to his current pitiful state.

’To think a day would come when Link, the one that would have suffered the most because of Fade’s existence, would feel pity for Fade...’

’I guess Fade has really been driven to a point of no return if even Link is feeling pity for him...’

Shaking his head at his own thoughts, Rio replied to Link in his usual emotionless tone,

"He’s dead. Raika’s sea of consciousness got shattered by me, and he got killed off in a void storm. He’s dead for sure this time."

Hearing Rio’s words, Link felt skeptical, as he had already heard these same words before from Rio’s mouth, and as a result Fade turned out to be alive again!

"I don’t know... I just have nagging feeling that he might still be alive somewhere even now..."

Rio just shook his head at Link’s words.

"No way... you are worrying too much."
