Reborn as an Extra

Chapter 880: Let’s just kill each other. Part-2.

Influencing Rio with external factors was not easy; the only external factor effective that could sway his heart was Lia.

And the Demon King, who had the ability to read the secrets of the universe, was the only one who could dare to take advantage of this, even if only a little bit.

"I am a Demon King, and I have lived a very long life... I can plan at least this much."

The Demon King smiled at Rio and spoke,

"If you accept my offer, I can even share all the knowledge I gain from the origin with you afterwards."

"My legendary skill will leave me at my death, and whatever knowledge I gain will be transmitted through it to Lia directly."

"So, what’s your answer, Rio Flash?"

Rio had no more reason to reject; the offer was too tempting to avoid, and the overbearing pressure from suppressing his ascension was becoming more and more uncontrollable with each moment.

There wasn’t enough time left to hesitate anymore, Rio had to make a decision fast.

"Fine. I will fight you and kill you."

"But you must know that unless I ascend to rank SS, I will likely not be able to free you from the control of miasma."

"So, first help me ascend to the next realm, and in return I will help you."

Rio slowly unsheathed his sword as the crown revolving above his head started to emit a darker shade of purplish miasmic aura.

"I can ascend on my own right now, but I have a feeling that such an ascension would not be perfect."

"I am an ’Anomaly,’ and I have boundless talent. I do not want my foundations to have gaps. I wish for a ’Perfect’ ascension... and for that I would need to experience a key factor that I have yet to experience... which is..."

"Death."

Rio’s words sent a shiver down the Demon King’s spine, but he kept silent as he knew that Rio wasn’t yet done talking.

"As an ’Anomaly,’ I have experienced the power of almost all major ’Laws’ of the world, including ’Love,’ ’Miasma,’ ’Paths,’ etc., but I have yet to fully experience the power of the ’law’ of ’Death’..."

"To understand it, I need to first die and not just willingly but in battle. Can you do it?"

The Demon King looked into Rio’s eyes and only found endless emotionlessness as if death meant nothing to Rio.

"You... don’t tell me... are you trying to... but can an SS ranker even do that? No... you are an anomaly, so likely only you can do it infact... yes..."

A lot of thoughts rushed past the Demon King’s head, and he finally realized why Rio had chosen him to be the one as his final contender!

"I see... I understand it. I will do it for you..."

While speaking, the Demon King brought out four different weapons and held them all in four different hands.

A playful smile appeared on the Demon King’s face as he spoke in an amused tone.

"Hehe, to be honest, only the two of us lunatics would dare to ask each other to kill each other like this, right?"

"We both are total maniacs; even drug addicts and crackheads would not be as insane as us."

Hearing those words, Rio glanced at the shining red moon one last time, and a fake wide grin that looked extremely disturbing appeared on his usually emotionless face.

"Exactly!"

[Sword Intent: Maximum Output!]

[Destined Fate: True Destiny Liberation!]

As if their minds were in perfect sync, the two of them activated their respective skills almost at the same time and rushed toward each other, wide grins on their faces!

Unknown to the rest of the world, a deathmatch atop the Demon King Palace that was soon about to change the entire world had begun due to two maniacs trying to murder each other!

...

*BOOOOOM!!!*

Rio’s sword intent collided with the Demon King’s body head-on, but as if the Demon King had become impervious to all physical damage, the sword attack passed right through his body like slicing at empty air!

The blow from that condensed sword intent was so strong that the massive snow plain in the south of the palace was sliced into two by Rio in a single move!

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! AHAAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

The Demon King laughed like a maniac as if he had lost all sanity and rushed straight at Rio without wasting a single second!

The spear held in his right upper right hand was stabbed towards Rio’s head with such immense strength that it could destroy an entire mountain range with a single blow!

*BAMMMMM!!!*

The spear collided with the protective barrier of sword intent lingering around Rio’s entire body and shattered into pieces as if it were made of fragile glass!

[World Authority: Realm Weaver!]

[By the order of the Champion: I create a new cosmic realm!]

As the new master of the ’Crown of Endless Realms,’ Rio was fully capable of utilizing its ’World Authority’ despite himself being only an S ranker due to his unique abilities of an ’Anomaly’ and the ’Crown’ being self-sufficient in terms of energy consumption!

The Crown of Endless Realms could use the miasma from the spirit realm through its connections to fulfill its own energy need; thus, Rio had no need to worry about running out of mana.

In other words, Rio was already capable of fighting an SS-ranker without even becoming one because of the crown! Aside from having high energy output, like SS-rankers, Rio was almost at their level now!

[World Authority: True Paradise!]

[Destination Point: Dream of Invincibility: Expansion!]

The Demon King knew that he could not let Rio expand his own realm, as the ’Laws’ inside the realm would obey Rio and put him at a disadvantage.

When fighting against someone like Rio, even the slightest bit of disadvantage was extremely fatal, so the Demon King didn’t waste a single second and expanded his own realm to make it clash with Rio’s!

With two separate realms appearing in the same place, they immediately collided with each other and cancelled out the imbued ’Law’ based powers of each other!
